Kyoto Daikon-Daki festival Trip

I would like to inform Kyoto Daikon-Daki that is Radish boiled festival at December 6 to 8.
Kyoto Daikon-Daki cuisine has 3 types.
Type1: Boil radish with salt,
Type2: Boil radish with salt and soy sauce,
Type3: Type2 and add figure to radish



I go to Sanpoji temple at December 6.

Go to Shijo Omiya by Hankyu train.
Change train to Keifuku Randen train.
Get off at Utano station, ride a special bus to Sanpoji temple, this bus is no charege.
About 15 minutes bus riding, I arrive at Sanpoji temple.

This temple is Nichiren temple.
This Daikon-Daki cuisine is Type2: Boil radish with salt and soy sauce.
It is available to defense the Paralytic disease.

Yuzu rice is also selling at this temple.
This Festibal is from December 6 to 7 10:00-15:00.
Daikon-Daki: 700yen, Yuzu rice: 800yen.

December 7, I go to Senbon ShakaDo temple.

From JR Kyoto, I go to Senbom Imadegawa by bus.
Walk NorthEast about 5minutes, I arrive at Sembon-Shakado temple.

Main temple is oldest wooden house in Japan, has Shaka-Nyorai statue.


This temple has also a famouse Okame-Zuka.



December 7 and 8, Daikon-Daki festibal is held.
This Daikon-Daki cuisine is Type3.
Figure '梵' is added to radishes, it means to defense sickness.
When you eat radishes, please find '梵' .
Daikon-Daki is famous, so many people come to this temple.
About 12:00, very long row to Daikon-Daki.
December 7, 8 10:00~16:00 Daikon-Daki: 1000yen

Next is Myomanji temple.

Ride Kyoto subway to Kokusai-Kaikan station.
Get off this station, walk west 15 minutes.
I arrive at Myomanji temple.

This temple has tall temples.
This Daikon-Daki cuisine is Type2.
This Daikon-Daki is only 500 yen.
Not so crowded in this temple.
I recommend this temple's Daikon-Daki.


December 7 11:00~15:00
