2/15 ~ 3/28

During this period, I returned to Korea to spend time with my family, relatives, and friends. This trip was particularly special as it might be my last chance to visit home before diving into my research at the laboratory for the upcoming semester, which will keep me occupied until graduation. Despite my concerns about missing practice, I was fortunate enough to join training at the Judo club of Busan University during my stay. Once again, Judo proved to be a bridge connecting me to wonderful people.

While their focus was primarily on standing techniques, I introduced them to ground techniques from 七帝柔道 as well.

This photo was taken as a farewell to one of their members, who was leaving for military service the next day—a step I'll also have to take upon graduating from Nagoya University.

On this day, the Judo club members gathered at the central library to create posters for our club's 新歓 (which took over 6 hours!). I borrowed this idea from my time helping the Judo club at Busan University with their recruitment posters.

This was also my birthday so after the posters were completed, I went to celebrate with my friends. We decided to go to a 食べ放題焼肉 as I was starving after making the posters.

We met at the Toyoda Auditorium at 9 am to distribute flyers to incoming freshmen during their textbook sales guidance. Wearing our dogi and proudly displaying our club flags, we managed to attract attention among the sea of other clubs vying for new members. Our efforts paid off as some of the students approached us directly for flyers, and even Nagoya University's Twitter account shared our photo!

I truly hope that many students join our Judo club this semester as well, and next semester, we will be recruiting other G30 international students. It's an exciting time for our club, and I'm eager to see it grow and thrive with new members from diverse backgrounds.

After finishing our flyer distribution, we headed to Nanzan University to practice with their Judo club. It was a valuable experience, allowing me to delve into standing techniques in greater detail.

And of course, after the practice, we all went to have dinner together!
