Soo Lineの蒸機とGNの客車

 ご無沙汰してしまいました。

 OreRailから、動態保存蒸気機関車の運転の写真が大量に届きました。場所は、ミネソタ州ツーハーバー付近です。
 牽引機は、Soo LineのパシフィックNo.2719。牽かれているのが、エンパイアビルダー塗装の客車たちです。一番後ろは、DMIRの展望車、Northlandです。
 こんな編成を今も走らせられるなんて、やっぱりアメリカはうらやましいですねぇ。

Wow! What a good morning to chase a steam engine. The weather was hit and miss all the way up, with strong northwest winds that put a bite in the air yet made for some good steam photos. I will be brief with my captions, so here it goes.

I hustled out to 54th Ave East. As a matter of info Frank King shot DM&IR Pacific 1107 on a northbound train back in the 1950's, that photo has been published in both his Missabe books.
