Character required for as a leader:

現在では、呂新吾が言う第三等の資質しか持っていない人、つまり、聡明才弁の人をリーダーに選ぶことが、世の東西を問わず、広く行われています。たしかにこのような人材は能吏として役に立つことは間違いありません。しかし、彼らが果たして立派なリーダーとしての人格を備えているかどうかは疑問だと思うのです。
In the present, persons of the third-rank qualification described by Ryo Shingo are often chosen as a leader both in the West and in the East. It is sure these kinds of persons are helpful as a smart, efficient servant. But it is doubtful whether they have an enough character for a good leader.

私は現在、世界の多くの社会が荒廃している原因は、このように第三等の資質しか持っていない人材をリーダーとして登用しているからだと思うのです。
There are a lot of devastations in so my places in the world. In my opinion, the main reason for that is only the persons of the third-level-qualification have been chosen as a leader.
