緊急融資　10倍の54兆円　今年計画　途上国、財政悪化で　ＩＭＦなどの国際金融機関　早期増資が課題

It has recently been learend that international development financial institutions like IMF are planning to extend emergency fund supports to developing countries,whose sacle would be in the 600 billion yen( about 54 trillion yen ) level in 2009 alone.This is because the governments of developing countries facing rapid financial deteriorations due to the worldwide financial crisis have come to be more dependent on such international organizations.The amount of supports will be about ten times that in 2008. But most of such institutions have fallen into lack of capital,and then are not able to continue pumping a great amount of funds for a long period.In these circumstances enhacement of their capitals are needed as soon as possible. In the Group of Seven financial ministers and central bank's governors' meeting also,they are expected to reach an agreement in strengthening the financial bases of international development financial institutions.

10倍の５４兆円

日本語では修飾語が前にありますから、「１０倍の」に相当する形容詞を探そうとする癖が私たちにはあります。確かにtenfoldという言葉があるのは事実です。けれども、こうした場合の大半で適用できる発想法は、「５４兆円、でそれは・・・の１０倍なのだが」という風に考えることです。したがって、後ろから修飾するわけです。後追いで修飾するとも言えます。fund of 54 trillion yen almost ten times the amount reached in 2008 又は　fund of as much as 54 trillion yen, which is almost ten times that in 2008 などと表現できると思うのです。
