ミストサウナ

昨日、２リットルのミネラルウォーターをお風呂に持ち込み、３０分入浴しました。

２回ミストサウナを使って、上半身にミストを吹き付けました。

すっきりしました。

Yesterday:

I bring 2 liters of mineral water into the bath, I took a bath for 30 minutes. With a mist sauna, I sprayed a mist on the upper body twice. I felt fine.

ワイン

予定通り、約２週間の禁酒期間を終え、一昨日、自宅で妻とワインを飲みました。

禁酒すると身体のコンディションがすごくいい。

仕事していても、アスリートになったみたい。

たぶん、気のせいでしょうけど。

２週間ぶりのボルドー美味しかった。

ＧＷ期間中ワインを飲んで、ＧＷ明けからまた禁酒します。

I finished the temperance period of approximately two weeks and drank wine with my wife on the night of the day before yesterday. I drink wine during the period of Golden Week and stop drinking again for a while after GW.
Physical condition is very good when I stop drinking. I could transform myself into an athlete from a businessperson even if I work. (imagination?) Bordeaux wine for the first time in two weeks was very delicious.

ガラ・コンサート オーケストラ公演

月曜日に続き、昨夜も、仕事の後、第14回チャイコフスキー国際コンクール優勝者ガラ・コンサート(@サントリーホール)のオーケストラ公演へ行きました。

ドガージン、トリフォノフへの拍手は、かれらの高い技巧と芸術性に対するもの。アフナジャリャンへの拍手は、２１世紀に現れた史上最高のチェリストの登場に対するものであったように思いました。

新しい時代の幕開けを感じた公演でした。

最前列の席でしたので、セルゲイ・ドガージンの表情、バイオリンを近距離で楽しめました。

彼は、ものすごく姿勢がいいですね。

ナレク・アフナジャリャン

Narek Hakhnazaryan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1988.

International Tchaikovsky Competition, Moscow, 2011: Gold Medal

Described by the Washington Post as “a seasoned phenomenon”, Narek Hakhnazaryan was propelled on to the international scene when he won the Cello First Prize and Gold Medal at the 2011 XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition. Throughout the competition, Hakhnazaryan impressed a distinguished jury which included Sir Clive Gillinson, Mario Brunello, David Geringas, Ralph Kirschbaum, Lynn Harrell and Krzysztof Penderecki.

Following the competition, Hakhnazaryan has made a number of high level debuts, including with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Hall in London conducted by Valery Gergiev, where he was described by the Guardian as “the brightest star of the evening …a cellist of real maturity whose performance of the Variations on a Rococo Theme was characterful and well-judged.” Hakhnazaryan has received similarly warm responses from audiences in Milan with the Verdi Orchestra and Xian Zhang, Tokyo with the Tokyo Symphony and Ken Takaseki, in recital at Salle Pleyel in Paris, Universita la Sapienza in Rome, and across Europe and the United States.

仕事の後、チャイコフスキー国際コンクール　優勝者ガラ・コンサート(@サントリーホール)へ行きました。

若き天才ピアニスト、ダニール・トリフォノフに遭遇しました。

かれが使うFAZIOLIというイタリアのピアノも凄かった。

音がクリスタルで、まるで粒のよう。

一方で、曲目によっては音は波のようでもありました。

After work, I went to the International Tchaikovsky Competition Winners' Gala Concert at Suntory Hall. I met with young genius pianist, Daniil Trifonov. The Italian piano called FAZIOLI which he used was great. A sound was totally crystal and was like grain. On the other hand, it was like the wave depending on music.

ブッダガヤの菩提樹の葉っぱ

昨日の午後３時間、佐々木奘堂師から座禅の指導を受けました。

インドの旅（３月１０日出発、１８日帰国：お釈迦様が生きた範囲、特に重要な聖地はすべて回ります！）の話は楽しかったです。

お土産に、インドの菩提樹の葉っぱをもらいました。

For three hours, I received instruction of the Zen meditation on the afternoon of yesterday from Jodo Sasaki -sensei. The talk of his trip of India was fun. For a souvenir, I got the leaf of the Indian linden tree from him. Hearty thanks

道元 『正法眼蔵』 第一 現成公案

I sat in contemplation (Zazen) on the afternoon of yesterday in a temple for 40 minutes.

午後、お寺で40分間座禅しました。

道元 『正法眼蔵』 第一 現成公案（げんじょうこうあん）　より：
佛道をならふといふは、自己をならふ也。自己をならふといふは、自己をわするる也。自己をわするるというふは、萬法(ばんぽう)に証せらるる也。

意訳(by ふかよん)：

仏教の修行は、大きな自己、すなわち、宇宙や世界(個的自己を拡張したもの)を知ることである。大きな自己を知ることは、小さな自己(自分自身、己といった個的自己)を忘れること、小さな自己に囚われられないことである。小さな自己を忘れることにより、(大きな自己を知ることにより、) 私たちが仏の現れであることを、あらゆるモノ・コトから悟らされる。

道元は、仏道修行によって仏でない状態から仏になるのではなく、私たちははじめから仏の現れであり、仏道修行によって、仏である本来の姿になりきることを言っていますね。

前半の「自己」と、後半の「自己」は、意味が異なります。大きな自己に対立する小さな自己を無にすることで、私たち本来の仏が現れると、道元は言っています。

今日も座禅に行く予定です。

Citi's Pandit Sued Over Excessive Compensation

Just when you thought Vikram Pandit’s week couldn’t get any worse a shareholder is suing him and directors at Citigroup over their compensation.

In the lawsuit filed in Manhattan today the plaintiff says Pandit and directors breached their fiduciary duties by awarding more than $54 million of compensation in 2011 to the executives. That pay included $15 million to Pandit in a year when the bank’s share price fell 44%

The suit follows Tuesday’s vote by Citi’s shareholders at the bank’s annual meeting to reject a proposal on executive compensation.

Today’s suit is filed under the “say on pay” provision of the Dodd Frank reform act which gives shareholders the right to vote on executive pay. The plaintiff, Stanley Moskal from Pittsburgh, PA. has been a Citi shareholder since 2009 and is seeking damages.

配当の増額や株価の上昇よりも経営陣の報酬アップの方が先というのは、株主に支持されないと思います。

I think that it is not supported by many Citigroup shareholders that increase of the reward of Board of Directors is carried out earlier than the rise in stock prices and increase of dividends.
