米音楽大手ソニー・ミュージックエンタテインメントが、昨年６月に急死した米人気歌手マイケル・ジャクソンの資産管理団体に対し、アルバムの販売権などで総額２億５０００万ドル（約２２５億円）を支払う巨額契約で合意したことが１５日、分かった。

音楽業界では史上最高額とのこと！
契約対象は、７年間で１０枚のアルバムを販売する権利などで、この中には未発表曲も含まれるという。
ソニーはビデオゲームや映画などでマイケル・ジャクソンのヒット曲を使う権利も得る。
一方、資産管理団体は、契約で得た資金を負債の返済などに充てる方針という。
