米国民主主義の敗北

　米国でトランプ氏が大統領に再選された。訴訟案件を何件も持っている下品な男がアメリカの権力の頂点に立つというのである。嘘をつき法螺の塊のような人物が権力を握って善政を敷ける訳がない。
　形式的には民主主義のシステムを採用して選ばれてはいるが、あのような人物が選ばれるという事は既に、民主主義の敗北である。

The defeat of American democracy
　Trump was re-elected as president of the United States. A vulgar man with many lawsuits in the pipeline is now at the top of American power. There is no way that a person who lies and talks big can hold power and govern well.
　Although formally the person was selected through a democratic system, the fact that such a person was elected is already a defeat for democracy.
