大谷翔平の賭博疑惑に於ける日米の常識の差

　大谷翔平の問題で、水原氏が大谷投手の銀行口座から多額のお金を引き出したという事について、米国では疑念を持つ人が多いようである。
　大谷投手の関与がなく送金するにしては、余りにも金額が大きいので、大谷投手は虚偽の発言をしているのではないかという事である。

　しかしながら、私の考えでは、そもそも大谷投手にはお金に対する興味はなく、自身の口座をチェックする習慣もないだろう。彼は野球に集中しているのである。したがって、お金に関する事は水原氏に殆ど任されていたという事だろう。

　こうした状態は日本人には容易に想像できるが、アメリカ人には、容易に想像出来ないのだろう。

　Many people in the United States seem to have doubts about the fact that Mr. Mizuhara withdrew a large amount of money from pitcher Ohtani's bank account regarding the Shohei Ohtani issue.
　Since the amount of money was too large to be transferred without Ohtani's involvement, it is suspected that Ohtani was making false statements.

　However, in my opinion, pitcher Ohtani has no interest in money and probably doesn't have the habit of checking his own bank account. He is concentrating on baseball. Therefore, it seems that most matters related to money were left to Mr. Mizuhara.

　Japanese people can easily imagine this situation, but Americans may not be able to imagine it easily.

政治の基本は自治である

　主権在民という言葉がある。政治に関する本質的な権利と責任は国民である事を示した言葉である。国家運営は対内的にも対外的にも整合的及び組織的に為される必要があるので、国家権力が必要になる。
　これは基本的には主権者による自治を補完すためのものであるべきで、主権者の意向を無視して、恣意的に他国と戦争をしてよい筈はない。

　このような発想に基づけば、現在のロシア政府の所業は言語道断であり、即刻停止すべきであろう。また、主権在民の発想からすれば、自国の政府の所業は国民の責任でもあるので、プーチン氏を容認しているロシア国民にも責任がある。

　国家という人類に必要不可欠の道具は、一方で暴政や他国との戦争を招来するという負の側面から人類を悩ましてきた。そして、未だに統治の正解となるべきモデルを探している。

　このような状況下において温暖化問題と言う地球規模の危機が到来している。

　There is a term called "Sovereignty lies with people." This phrase indicates that the people have the essential rights and responsibilities regarding politics. National power is necessary because national management must be carried out consistently and systematically both internally and externally.
　Basically, this should be to supplement the autonomy of the sovereign, and there is no way that we can ignore the will of the sovereign and arbitrarily go to war with other countries.

　Based on this idea, the current actions of the Russian government are outrageous and should be stopped immediately. Furthermore, from the perspective of "Sovereignty lies with people", the deeds of one's own government are the responsibility of the people, so the Russian people who tolerate Mr. Putin are also responsible.

　On the other hand, the nation is an indispensable tool for humankind, but it has also plagued humanity with its negative aspects of inviting tyranny and wars with other countries. And we are still searching for the correct model for governance.

　Under these circumstances, a global crisis called global warming has arrived.

　トランプ氏が勢い付いてきた。アメリカの民主主義を破壊しようとした政治家の風上にも置けないような人物の話し上手に乗せられて、彼を支持するアメリカ人は気が狂ってしまったのではないかと思う。
　何十件もの裁判沙汰を抱かえ、大統領の免罪特権を狙うような男が、大統領になって良い筈が無い。

　トランプ氏が自国であるアメリカ１ｓｔを主張する事は、当然である。どんな政治家も自国を優先するからである。
　しかしながら、自国最優先という常識を超えて、他国を犠牲にしてでも自国を優先するという大国らしからぬエゴを感じてしまう。
　このように考えると、彼は融和を進める人物ではなさそうである。
　温暖化に対処できる人は、争いを避けて民族問題を解決したマハトマ・ガンジーのような人であり、トランプのような人ではないだろう。

　Trump is gaining momentum. I think the Americans who support him have gone crazy, being carried along by a man who can't even be placed upstream of a politician who tried to destroy American democracy.
　There is no way that a man who is involved in dozens of lawsuits and is aiming for presidential immunity should become president.

　It is natural for Mr. Trump to claim that his country, America, is most important. This is because every politician puts their own country first.
　However, I sense an ego unbecoming of a great power, going beyond the common sense of putting one's own country first, even at the expense of other countries.
　Considering this, he does not seem to be the type of person who would promote reconciliation.
　The person who can deal with global warming will be someone like Mahatma Gandhi, who avoided conflict and resolved ethnic issues, and not someone like Trump.

異次元の施策に必要な異次元の発想

　岸田首相の異次元の少子化対策が避難されている。異次元と言うには余りにも小規模で、財源を何処に求めるかといった末節の話まで出ている。
　そもそも、岸田首相は誇大に話す癖があり、最初から異次元などという言葉を使うところから間違ってしまっている。表題に示したように、異次元の施策であれば、異次元の発想が必要であろう。

　少子化は日本だけのトレンドではなく、世界の先進国共通の問題であり、多少の補助金や支援制度で解決できる問題ではない事を日本政府は知るべきである。昔、中国古代の戦国時代に法に偽りが無い事を国民に知らしめるために、簡単な作業の対価として大金を与えて民の信用を獲得したという商鞅の話がある。
　日本国民全体が驚く位の施策でないと異次元の少子化対策とは言えないし、それくらいでないと少子化のトレンドを変える事は出来ないであろう。

　The Japanese government should know that the declining birthrate is not a trend unique to Japan, but is a common problem in developed countries around the world, and is not a problem that can be solved with a few subsidies or support systems. There is a story of a long time ago, during the Warring States period of ancient China, in order to show the people that the law was true, Shang Yang won the trust of the people by giving them a large sum of money in exchange for simple work.
　Unless the measures are taken to the point where the entire Japanese people are surprised, they cannot be called measures against the declining birthrate on a different level, and unless they are such measures, it will not be possible to change the trend of the declining birthrate.

　名称は忘れたがある中国の古典に、民の声が煩いというので、政府批判を厳罰の対象にして民を黙らせて得意になった或る王の話がある。得意になって自慢している王に向かって、或る家臣が「民を黙らせるとその内に大変な事になりますよ」と言ったが、王は全く気にしなかったという。そして、後日民衆が蜂起したという。

　今の中国は、正しくこの道を歩んでいるのではないか？反スパイ法という脅しの道具で中国国民だけでなく、外国のビジネスマンの言葉も抑えてしまえば、短期的には効果があるだろうが、長期的には反政府のエネルギーの源泉にも成りかねない。
　中国政府の要人は、早くこの事に気付いてもらいたいものである。

　In a Chinese classic, the book name of which I have forgotten, there is a story about a king who became good at silencing his people by punishing them harshly for criticizing the government because the voices of his people bothered him. A certain vassal said to the king who was proud of himself and said, ``If you keep the people quiet, you'll get into trouble soon,'' but the king didn't care at all. It is said that the people later rose up.

　Isn't China currently on the right wrong path? Using the anti-espionage law as a threat tool to suppress the words of not only Chinese citizens but also foreign businessmen may be effective in the short term, but in the long term it could become a source of anti-government energy.
　I hope that important people in the Chinese government realize this as soon as possible.
