存続が危ぶまれるイスラエル

　イスラエルとパレスチナとの戦いが激しくなっている。双方とも一歩も引かない構えの様だが、国際世論はパレスチナに傾いているようだ。
　その理由は、イスラエルの残酷な侵攻を見ているからだろう。イスラエルにしてみれば、仕掛けてきたのはハマスであり、正当防衛なので非はないと言いたいのであろう。

　これまで、幾度となく領土防衛のための戦争を行ってきたイスラエルであるが、私は今回の侵攻ではジェノサイドに近い印象を受けた。現代はインターネットの普及によって、イスラエルの蛮行が世界に知れ渡り、イスラエルの評価が著しく低下したと思われる。
　ハマスは、イスラエルをアラブ全体の敵にすることで、今回のハマスの侵攻は成功したと考えているのであろう。イスラエルはアラブ世界に取り囲まれており、敵を増やしてはならない。さもなければ、存続が危うくなるであろう。

Israel's survival is in jeopardy
　The battle between Israel and Palestine is intensifying. Both sides appear to be refusing to back down, but international public opinion seems to be leaning toward Palestine.
　The reason may be because they have seen Israel's brutal invasion. From Israel's point of view, it was Hamas that initiated the attack, and since it was an act of self-defense, Israel probably wants to say that it is not at fault.

　Israel has waged many wars to defend its territory, but this invasion gave me the impression that it was close to genocide. In modern times, with the spread of the Internet, Israel's brutality has become known around the world, and Israel's reputation seems to have declined significantly.
　Hamas probably believes that its invasion was a success by making Israel the enemy of all Arabs. Israel is surrounded by the Arab world and must not make more enemies. Otherwise, survival will be at risk.

米国の凋落

　米国の威信が低下している。経済力や軍事力は依然として大きいものの、BRICSの台頭で相対的に小さくなったようだ。そのようなハードパワーの後退よりも、米国への信頼というソフトパワーの低下が著しい。

　その低下の象徴がトランプ氏であろう。トランプ氏は、アメリカ第一主義を掲げて自国の世界に於ける地位を破壊してしまった。大国の責任を放棄して身軽になったかも知れないが、世界のリーダーという地位も放棄したのである。

　また、米国が凋落した原因はトランプ氏だけにあるのではない。トランプ氏を選んだ米国民にもあるだろう。
　彼にまつわる下品極まりない言動を見聞きする人は誰もが、これが世界一の大国の元大統領であり、再度大統領にならんとする事に戸惑いを感じるに違いない。
　トランプ氏は、米国を再度偉大な国にすると言っているが、彼にそれが出来る訳がない。彼は基本的に破壊者であって、創造出来る人物ではない。

　米国の凋落は、トランプ氏が引き金となったが、より根本的には米国内の分断が遠因になっていると思う。リーダーを欠く世界は混乱に向かうだろう。

The decline of the USA
　America's prestige is declining. Although its economic and military power remains large, it appears to have become relatively smaller with the rise of BRICS. Rather than such a decline in hard power, the decline in soft power in the form of trust in the United States is more remarkable.
　Mr. Trump is a symbol of this decline. Mr. Trump has destroyed his country's standing in the world with his America First policy. He lightly gave up his responsibilities as a great power, but he also gave up his position as world leader.

　Moreover,  Mr. Trump is not the only reason for America's decline. The same may be said of the American people who chose Mr. Trump.
　Anyone who sees or hears the extremely vulgar words and actions surrounding him must feel confused that this is the former president of the world's most powerful country, and that he is determined to become president again.
　Mr. Trump says he will make America great again, but there is no way he can do that. He is basically a destroyer, not someone who can create.

　The decline of the United States was triggered by Mr. Trump, but I believe that the more fundamental cause is the division within the United States. A world without leaders will descend into chaos.

　岸田政権の支持率が低下している。岸田首相が唱えた新しい資本主義は見えてこないし、異次元の少子化対策も何処が異次元なのかが分らない。防衛費のために増税するだけでも国民に信を問うべきだと思うが、それも行わず、行政府の給与アップには何の抵抗も感じていない。

　政治家は国の大方針を官僚に示して舵取りをすべきだと思うが、細かな事務作業に囚われて右往左往している。
　国会も官界も生産性の悪い組織だとつくづく感じるのは私だけだろうか？
　こんなに問題だらけの政府であり、官界であるのに、野党が一向に政権をとる事が出来ないのは何故だろうか？

Liberal Democratic Party support rate decline
　The Kishida administration's approval rating is declining. The new capitalism advocated by Prime Minister Kishida is not in sight, and it is difficult to see what is different about the measures to combat the declining birthrate. I think the government should hear the opinion of the people about even if raising taxes to pay for defense spending, but the government have not done so and have no qualms about raising salaries in the executive branch.

　I think statesmen should guide the country by presenting the country's general policy to bureaucrats, but statesmen are bogged down by detailed administrative work.
　Am I the only one who feels that both the Diet and the official world are unproductive organizations?
　Why is it that the opposition parties have never been able to take power, even though the government and the official world are so fraught with problems?

忘却の巧罪

　日本には「水に流す」という言葉がある。過去の禍根をなかった事にしてわだかまりを捨てようという姿勢である。厭な過去を忘れて未来に目を向けるという意味では水に流して忘れてしまう事は美徳といっても良いであろう。
　しかしながら、過去の失敗から得られる教訓等は忘れるべきではない。

　中国では、第二次大戦で日本が中国を侵略した事を歴史教育で教え込んでいると聞く。しかし、日本では日本が犯した過ちに厳格に向き合っていないのではないだろうか。
　過去の過ちを忘れて将来に向かう事も大切だが、過去の過ちを繰り返さないために、忘れない事も大切であろう。

　今、イスラエルとパレスチナが争っているが、彼らが平和に暮らすためには、「水に流す」という姿勢が必要である。

Good points and bad points based on forgetting
　In Japan, there is a saying, ``flow into water.'' The attitude is to pretend that the roots of the troubles of the past never existed and to throw away the grievances. In the sense of forgetting the unpleasant past and turning to the future, it can be said that it is a virtue to wash away and forget.
　However, we should not forget the lessons learned from past failures.

　I hear that in China, history education teaches that Japan invaded China during World War II. However, it seems that Japan is not seriously facing up to the mistakes it has made.
　It is important to forget past mistakes and move towards the future, but it is also important not to forget in order to avoid repeating past mistakes.

　Israel and Palestine are currently at war, but in order for them to live in peace, they need a "forgive and forget" attitude.

中露の愛国教育

　中国とロシアが愛国教育を強化している。愛国教育は戦争を起こす前に行われるものであるだろう。戦争を起こすには、武装強化だけでは駄目で、戦う意志を持った人間が大勢必要になるという訳である。
　人類が生き残れるかどうか分らないという時期に、人類を戦争に引きずり込もうとする為政者には、本当に憤りを覚える。
　彼らは自分がやろうとしている事がどういう事なのか、よく分っていないのであろう。

Patriotic education in China and Russia
　China and Russia are strengthening patriotic education. Patriotic education should be carried out before starting a war. In order to start a war, it is not enough to simply strengthen the armament; it requires a large number of people with the will to fight.
　I feel really angry at politicians who try to drag humanity into war at a time when we don't know if humanity will survive.
　It seems they don't enough understand what they are trying to do.
