　世界各地でミツバチが激減している。過去20年来の事だそうだが、その減少が数十％というから凄まじい。読者もご存知のようにミツバチは花粉をつけて花から花へと移動するので、ミツバチによる受粉は植物の世界で大きく貢献している。ミツバチが死滅すると果実や穀物の生産量が減る事に繋がるのだ。

　ミツバチが激減している原因は温暖化や化学物資による環境汚染、ウィルス、寄生虫等の複数の原因が考えられているが、正確な事は分っていない。
　食料生産は人間の生死に直結する問題であるだけに、戦争の原因になるかも知れない。
