欲望の種類が示す戦争への誘引

　欲求の分類法でマズローの５段階分類というものがある。最下層の生理的欲求から、安全の欲求、社会的欲求、承認の欲求、自己実現の欲求に分類するという。最下層の生理的欲求や安全の欲求は基本的な欲求で、最低限必要な欲求だと誰しもが思うだろう。
　殆どの国民は、普通に暮らせればそれで満足だという筈である。歴史を見ていても、政府が何か問題を起こしても普通に暮らせていれば革命など起きないが、多くの国民が生活出来なくなると政権が怪しくなる。

　一方、承認の欲求や自己実現の欲求は、生理的欲求や安全の欲求が満たされてからの話である。プーチン大統領や習近平国家主席などはお金に困る事は一切無く、困った経験も無いだろう。権力の頂上にいる人達は、下層の欲求よりも承認の欲求や自己実現の欲求に囚われる事が多いのである。
　言葉を変えて言えば、名誉を得たい、怖れられたい、偉大な人物と評価されたい、歴史に名を残したい等と考えている筈である。
　このように一般国民と、国家を主導する人物の欲求の差が戦争の誘引になる訳である。

　There is Maslow's five-level classification system of needs. From the lowest level,  they are classified into physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. Everyone thinks that the lowest level of physiological needs and safety needs are basic needs, the bare minimum needs.
　Most people should be satisfied with living a normal life. Even if you look at history, even if the government causes some kind of problem, if you can live normally, there will be no revolution. However, the administration becomes unstable when many people cannot live.

　On the other hand, esteem needs and self-actualization needs come after physiological and safety needs have been met. President Putin, President Xi Jinping, etc. have no trouble with money at all, and they probably have no experience of trouble with money. Those at the top of power are often preoccupied with their needs for recognition and self-actualization rather than their lower-level needs.
　In other words, they want to be honored, to be feared, to be evaluated as a great person, to leave their name in history, and so on.

　In this way, the difference between the desires of the general public and those who lead the nation is the trigger for war.
