宗教団体を導くべきは血か徳か？
どんな宗教でも、発展した後開祖が死亡し幾世代か経過すると、その宗教団体を導くのは誰が適切かという問題が起きる。
開祖が亡くなって間もないころは、開祖の妻や子供が継承するのが普通だと思うが、更に時間が経過すると、教主は必ずしも家系や血縁でなくとも良いのではないかという議論が起きてくる。
この事は、宗教団体に於いては至極一般的なことであり、イスラム教において起きた過去の分裂事件は有名である。
宗教には、その信者達を善導する役割があり、そのためには人格的に優れた徳の高い人物が教主に相応しいと言える。
しかしながら、教団が大きくなると教主とのコンタクトの機会が無いか、殆ど無い状態になるので、象徴的意義の重要性が増し、血縁のウエイトが高くなるのかも知れない。
このことは一見当然のことと思われるかも知れないが、この辺りから宗教が目指す世界とは別の世俗的次元の世界に連なるのではないか。
Which is it blood relation or virtue that should lead a religious group?
After several generations after death of the founder of any religion, the problem of who is appropriate to lead the religious group arises.
Shortly after the founder's death, I think it's normal for the founder's wife and children to inherit it, but as generation goes on, the debate that a head of religion does not necessarily have to be of family or kinship arises.
This is extremely common in religious groups, and past divisions in Islam are well known.
Religion has a role to guide its believers in the right direction, and for that purpose, it can be said that a person with excellent personality and high virtue is suitable for a head of religion.
However, as the religious group grows, believers have little or no chance of contact with the head of religion, so the importance of symbolic significance may increase and the weight of blood relation may increase.
This may seem natural at first glance, but from around here, it may lead to a world of secular dimensions that is different from the world that religion aims for.
