宗教と常識
統一教会の信徒の中には、１億円という巨額の献金で家庭内不和が起き、一家離散等の不幸に陥った人が多数いると言う。統一教会に限らず、宗教団体は狂信の故に、数千年の昔から様々な災いを信徒に齎してきた。
ユダヤ教では、イエスキリストを罪人に仕立て上げたし、中世では聖地奪回の美名の下に十字軍を結成した。また、大航海時代にはキリスト教の宣教と侵略を教団と国王が協力して行うこともあった。
ガリレオは宗教裁判に掛けられ、異端者の刻印を押されて２０世紀になるまで、汚名の烙印が解除されることは無かったという。
このように見てくると、宗教は人を幸福に導くものであるのに、悪魔に利用されている様に思えるかも知れない。しかしながら、これは悪い側面を見ているからで、慈善活動その他の多くの社会貢献を見れば、悪行を大きく上回っているに違いない。
善が様々な所に存在する様に、悪も様々な所に存在する。教会が神聖な場所だからといって、そこに悪がいないとは限らない。人間には素直さが美徳とされるが、鵜呑みは危険である。
信仰生活においても常識に基づいて判断すれば、多額の献金を強要するなどは可笑しいと思える筈である。宗教は人を幸福に導くためのものなので、教団が求めることが、自身の幸福に繋がるかどうかを真摯に考えるだけで、教団専従者の邪な指導に対抗できるのである。常識から逸脱するものは、怪しいか危険であると捉えるだけで良いのである。
Religion and common sense
Among the members of the Unification Church, it is said that the huge donation of 100 million yen caused domestic disharmony, and many people fell into misfortune such as their families being separated. Religious groups, not just the Unification Church, have brought various disasters to their followers for thousands of years because of fanaticism.
In Judaism, Jesus Christ was made into a sinner, and in the Middle Ages, Crusade were formed in the name of taking back the Holy Land. Also, during the Age of Exploration, Christian religious mission and invasions were sometimes carried out jointly by the religious community and the king.
Galileo was put on the Inquisition, branded a heretic, and the stigma was not lifted until the twentieth century.
Looking at it this way, it may seem that religion is used by the devil, even though it is something that leads people to happiness. However, this is because we are looking at the bad side, and if we look at philanthropy and many other social contributions, it must be far greater than bad deeds.
