神の私物化

　神という概念は人により、かなり異なっているように思う。昔、ギリシャではゼウス以下大勢の神々がいたし、その神々は、人間臭く愛憎の念を持っていたという。また、日本に於いては八百万の神々というように、無数の神がいると想定している。

　一方、ユダヤ教、キリスト教、イスラム教では、唯一絶対の全知全能の神のみが存在すると考えられている。
　洋の東西を問わず、どんな宗教においても神に祈る際には、自分の願いを神に伝えようとする筈だ。当然の事である。
　但し、人により願い事の内容に差がある事も当然である。或る人は、他人の幸福を願うだろうし、或る人は、他人の不幸を願うかも知れない。

　人が正しく生きる事を願う神にとって、悪しき願いは煩く感じられるに違いない。また、神が存在するなら、神は公の大勢の人に資する願い事には傾聴するが、私的な願い事にはあまり時間を使いたくないと思うだろう。
　そのような意味で、神や宗教を自己の活動のために利用する事を、神は嫌うであろう。

　神を私物化している事を人が実感するのは、難しいに違いない。神を信仰している者は神を怖れているので、尚更である。
　私物化の顕著な例は、かつて、ルターが抗議した贖宥状の件である。これは、キリスト教会による神の私物化であったろう。他にも、選民思想や神の恩恵の押売り等、神の私物化に近い例は山ほどもあるだろう。

Appropriating God
　I think that the concept of God differs from person to person very much. Long ago, in Greece, there were many gods below Zeus, and it is said that these gods had a human-like love and hate. In addition, it is assumed that there are countless gods, such as the eight million gods in Japan.

　Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, on the other hand, believe that there is only one absolute, omniscient and omnipotent God.
　When praying to a god in any religion, regardless of whether it is in the East or the West, one should try to convey one's wishes to the god. It is a matter of course.
　However, it is natural that the contents of wishes differ from person to person. Some may wish for the happiness of others, some may wish for the misfortune of others.

　For a god who wants people to live righteously, evil wishes must be annoying. Also, if there is a God, he would listen to public requests that benefit the masses, but would prefer not to spend too much time on private requests.
　In that sense, God would hate to use God or religion for his own activities.

　It must be difficult for people to realize that they are privatizing God. All the more so because those who believe in God fear God.
　A prominent example of making one's own is the issue of indulgences, which Luther once protested. This would have been the privatization of God by the Christian Church. In addition, there must be a mountain of examples close to the personalization of God, such as the idea of the chosen people and the touting of God's bounty.

　映画で悪人が悪事を散々働いた後、勇敢な者が現れて、悪人を懲らしめるというストーリーは、極一般的である。
　映画の世界では、単純に楽しめば良いのであるが、現実の世界では、それ程単純にはいかない。

　我々は、歴史という因果応報の世界に生きているのであり、諸事の対応は、それが原因となって後に影響を与えるからである。
　そもそも、一口に勧善懲悪と言っても、何が善で何が悪なのか明確に断定できる事は少ない。正義の側に悪が紛れ込む場合があるし、悪者だと思っていた側に正義が隠れていたりする事もある。

　キリスト教の司祭に残虐な殺され方をしたヒュパティアのように、悪を懲らしめる積もりで殺害という悪事がなされた例もある。また、イラクが大量破壊兵器を所持しているとの事でイラク戦争を始めたものの、それは誤報であったという悲惨なケースもある。

　善悪は相対的なものであって、人によって、或いは時代と共に評価は変わるものでもある。人は、善悪を明確に決めつけたがる傾向があるので、その事を念頭において、自省する習慣を持ちたいものである。

　This is because we live in the world of history, which is a world of retribution and the response of various events will have an effect later on.
　In the first place, it is rare to be able to clearly determine what is good and what is evil, even if it is simply called "recommending good and punishing evil."　There are times when evil slips into the side of justice, and there are times when justice is hidden in the side you thought was the bad guy.

　There are also examples of murders committed with the intention of punishing evil, such as Hypatia, who was brutally murdered by a Christian priest. In addition, there are also tragic cases where the Iraq war was started because Iraq seems that possess weapons of mass destruction, but it was a false alarm.

　Right and wrong are relative things, and evaluations change depending on the person or with the times. People tend to want to clearly define what is right and wrong, so with that in mind, I would like to develop a habit of self-examination.

　万教同根は日本の大本教の出口王仁三郎が唱えた言葉である。タイトルに記した通り、あらゆる宗教の願いは同一の筈である。
　ユダヤ教、キリスト教、仏教、イスラム教等、様々な宗教があるが、宗教の願いは必ず同じである。

　しかしながら、古来から宗教は分裂はしても、統一された事は一度も無い。実際に起きている事、起こった事が正しいとするなら、万教同根は理想ではあっても、夢想でしかないという事になる。
　宗教は分裂し続けるが故に、全ての宗教の願いは同じなのだと言う自覚が、より一層重要になるという事なのかも知れない。

　"The aspirations of all religions are the same" is a phrase advocated by Onisaburo Deguchi of Oomoto-kyo in Japan. As mentioned in the title, the wishes of all religions should be the same.
　There are various religions such as Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam, but the wishes of religions are always the same.

　However, even though religions have been divided since ancient times, they have never been unified. If what is actually happening and what has happened is correct, even if "The aspirations of all religions are the same" are an ideal, it is nothing more than a dream.
　Because religions continue to divide, it may become even more important to realize that all religions have the same aspirations.

　日本では神・仏と合わせて呼称するように、神と仏とは矛盾しない存在としている。また、生活の中に死者の霊を弔うお盆や神社に参拝する初詣、更にキリスト教のクリスマス等、並列的に生活の中に取り入れている。
　このような状態を中東以西の人が見ると、無宗教の民族に見えるのだろう。

　しかしながら、反対に、宗教に関して殆ど拘りが無い日本人が、ユダヤ教やキリスト教、イスラム教の国々で宗教的な対立を見聞きすると、違和感を感じるのではなかろうか。日本人には、ヒジャーブの強制や道徳警察による取締りや、何百人もの死者を出す状態は、恐怖信仰の領域だと思える。
　宗教は人を幸福に導くもので、恐怖に導くものではない。牧師や神父、僧侶等、宗教の内部で信徒を導く立場にある人は、信徒を恐怖信仰に導く事のないように注意しなければならない。

Fear Faith
　In Japan, God and Buddha are not inconsistent, as they are called together as God and Buddha. In addition, we incorporate it into our lives in parallel, such as the Obon festival to mourn the spirits of the dead, the New Year's visit to a shrine, and the Christian Christmas.
　When people from the Middle East and westward see such a situation, they may look like a non-religious people.

　Conversely, however, Japanese people, who have little insistence for religion, may feel uncomfortable when they see or hear religious conflicts in Jewish, Christian, or Islamic countries. To the Japanese, the forced hijab, the moral police crackdown, and the conditions that have left hundreds of people dead seem to be the realm of Fear Faith.
　Religion is something to lead mankind to happiness, not something to lead to fear. Pastors, priests, monks, and others who are in a position to guide believers within a religion must be careful not to lead believers to fear-faith.

宗教団体に潜む悪魔

　悪魔は人間界の様々な所に潜んでいる。小悪や巨悪、残忍、陰湿、物理的、抽象的な悪魔等、様々だろう。私自身は、悪魔は様々な団体に多く潜んでいるのではないかと考えている。人が組織し階層があり権力があり、お金が動く世界。そんな世界を悪魔が好まない筈がないではないか。

　そんな中でも厄介なのが、宗教団体に潜む悪魔であろう。信徒に対して強い影響力を持つ教団専従者が、利他を装って発言すれば、批判的精神を放棄した信徒を利用して悪に誘う事が出来る。この時、教団専従者自身も悪魔に騙されていて信徒を悪の側に誘導しているとは感じていないのかも知れない。
　人間社会を善導する筈の宗教団体が、悪に汚染される事は非常に恐ろしい事になる。
　かつてキリスト教で、十字軍が結成され約２００年の間に計７回もイスラム教国に戦争を仕掛けたことがある。聖戦という美名に隠れた悪魔の仕業であろう。

Demons Lurking in Religious Groups
　Demons lurk in various places in the human world. There are various types of demons, such as small evils, great evils, brutal, insidious, physical, abstract devils. I myself believe that many demons are lurking in various organizations. A world where people are organized, there are hierarchies, there is power, and money moves. There's no way devils wouldn't like such a world.

　Even in such a situation, the most troublesome thing would be the demons lurking in religious groups. If a religious full-time official who has a strong influence on followers speaks out under the guise of altruism, they can use the followers who have abandoned their critical spirit to tempt evil. At this time, the full-time servants of religious community themselves may not feel that they are being deceived by the devil and leading the followers to the evil side.
　It is a very frightening thing that Religious organizations which are supposed to guide human society are tainted with evil.
　In the past, the Christian Crusaders were formed, and in about 200 years, they waged war on Muslim countries seven times in total. It must be the work of a devil hiding behind the beautiful name of holy war.
