神は善も悪も許容する

　神は善を好み悪を許さないというのが、一般的な考え方であろう。しかし、本当にそうだろうか？神は善も悪も受け入れており、水の如く自然に任せているような気がする。

　というのは、自然界を観察していると、善悪など何処吹く風というような事が多分にあるからである。
　例えば、ライバルや仲間の動物が手に入れた獲物の横取りは日常茶飯事だし、窃盗行為は普通にある。
　サルは人から何かを奪えば、奪った瞬間から自分のものであり、人間が取り返そうとすると、烈火の如く怒り攻撃して来るそうである。
　善があるから悪があり、悪が無ければ善もなくなるので、神が善も悪も許容するのは当然なのかも知れない。

God tolerates both good and evil
　The general idea is that God favors good and does not tolerate evil. But is it really so? I feel like God accepts both good and evil, and leaves it to nature like water.

　This is because when we observe the natural world, we often find that good and evil show no concern at all.
　For example, stealing prey obtained by rivals or fellow animals is commonplace, and acts of theft are common.
　When a monkey takes something from a person, it is theirs from the moment they take it, and when a person tries to take it back, they get angry and attack.
　Because there is good, there is evil, and if there is no evil, there is no good, so it may be natural for God to tolerate both good and evil.

　世界には様々な宗教や思想がある。宗教や思想には、ある種の価値観が込められており、人間の行動や思考を強要するものがある。悩む事が多い人類にとって、悩む事を減らしてくれるものは、有り難いものでもある。

　このような事から、思考を停止する習慣に嵌った人間は、宗教や思想が待つ、色眼鏡で物事や事件、人間等を見ることになる。偏見に囚われると言っても良いかも知れない。
　このような事例は歴史上、無数にある。例えば、ガリレオの地動説を誤りだとして否定した事件や、キリスト教の総司教キュリロスが徒党を組んで、ヒュパティアという女性科学者を不信仰だとして殺害した事件がある。

　宗教や思想は物事を過大に評価したり過小評価したり、邪悪でないものを邪悪だとしたりするという様に、人間の観察眼を狂わせる事があるので注意が必要である。

　There are various religions and ideologies in the world. Religions and ideologies contain certain values that force people to act and think. For humans who worry a lot, we would be grateful for something that would reduce our worries.

　Because of this, people who have fallen into the habit of stopping their thinking end up looking at things, events, people, etc. through the colored glasses of religion and ideology. It may be fair to say that we are caught up in prejudice.
　There are countless cases like this throughout history. For example, there was an incident in which Galileo's heliocentric theory was rejected as false, and an incident in which the Christian patriarch Cyril formed a faction and murdered a female scientist named Hypatia for her lack of faith.

　We need to be careful because religions and ideas can distort people's observing abilities, such as overestimating or underestimating things, or labeling things that are not evil as evil.

　一般的に善は好まれ、悪は嫌われる。しかしながら、善悪は表裏一体であり、善が無ければ悪もなく、悪が無ければ善も有り得ない。従って、教育の観点からは善も悪も等しく教え込む必要がある。

　もちろん、悪事を勧めるのではなく、何故悪いのかを善の視点から見つめ悪を評価するというのが、正しい教育者の姿勢であろう。善である理由や悪である理由を教えず、善を主張するだけでは、半分しか教えていないという事になる。
　比較や評価が出来ない人は、教条的になりやすい人でもあるだろう。

　In general, good is liked and evil is disliked. However, good and evil are two sides of the same coin; without good, there can be no evil, and without evil, there can be no good. Therefore, from the point of view of education, it is necessary to inculcate both good and evil equally.

　Of course, the correct attitude of an educator is not to recommend bad behavior, but to look at why it is bad from a good perspective and evaluate it. If you just insist on what is good without teaching why it is good or why it is bad, you are only teaching half of somethings.
　People who are unable to compare and evaluate are also likely to become dogmatic.

弥勒菩薩の救世

　弥勒菩薩は、仏教の開祖である釈迦の弟子で遠い将来に生あるもの全てを救うという聖者である。その弥勒菩薩が天界から天下りこの世を救う時には空海を伴って来ると言う。その時は何時かと言うと、釈迦が亡くなって５６億７千万年後という。余りにも遠い未来なので何かの間違いではないだろうか？
　第一５６億年と言えば、ほぼ地球の年齢だし、その時に人類は勿論、地球も存在しているか分らないという時間である。百万分の一の５６７０年でも今から約３０００年の計算になる。人類の持ち時間がそれ程多いだろうか？
　天界から来るなら、もっと早く来てもらいたい！

Salvation of Maitreya Bodhisattva

　Maitreya Bodhisattva was a disciple of Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, and a saint who will save all living beings in the distant future. It is said that when Maitreya Bodhisattva descends from heaven to save the world, Kukai will accompany him. When that time comes, it will be 5.67 billion years after the death of Buddha. It's too far in the future, so isn't there some kind of mistake?
　First of all, speaking of 5.6 billion years, it is almost the age of the earth, and it is a time when it is not known whether not only human beings but also the earth will exist at that time. Even in 5670 years, which is one millionth, it will be about 3000 years from now. Do mankind have that much time?
　If you're coming from heaven, I want you to come sooner!

カルヴァン派の予定説がよく分らない

　カルヴァン派の予定説とは、神が救済する者と滅びる者は予め決められているという説である。カルヴァンの教えは商工業者に支持され資本主義の発展に貢献してきたと言われている。
　カルヴァンの教えの多くは良いとして、私にはこの予定説がどうにも理解できない。

　遠い審判の日に神の救済が有るのだとしても、救済の対象者は既に決まっているとすると、努力して善を行おうとする意志を否定する事にならないか。　　
　既に決まっており、個人の意志がどうであろうと変えることが出来ないなら、人知の対象外だからと考える事を放棄する事に繋がらないだろうか？
　ロダンの「考える人」のように人は考えてこそ人なのではないだろうか。

I don't understand the Calvinist theory of predestination.
　The Calvinist doctrine of predestination is the belief that God predetermines who will be saved and who will be destroyed. It is said that Calvin's teachings have contributed to the development of capitalism, supported by commercial and industrial men.
　Much of Calvin's teaching is good, but I cannot understand this predestination.

　Even if there is God's salvation on the distant Judgment Day, if the object persons of salvation has already been decided, won't it deny the will to strive and do good?
　If it's already decided and it can't be changed regardless of the individual's will, wouldn't it lead to giving up thinking that it's outside the scope of human knowledge?
　Like Rodin's "The Thinker," people are people very when they think.
