　余りにも凄まじい惨劇である。消火が追いつかない所か、火勢が強風に煽られて住民は逃げるしかなかったようだ。現地は乾燥し少雨で池に水が無く、強風で火が煽られたとのことである。
　近年、地球のあちらこちらで大規模な山火事があったが、ロスの山火事も温暖化の影響だという声が上がっている。山火事自体が災害だが、温暖化ガスの吸収源である森も消失も残念である。

　温暖化の悪循環が加速するこのような一大事を何故、マスメディアは温暖化の角度から報道しないのだろうか？

　しかしながら、人類は未だに経済成長を志向しており、自分達の危機を認識していないようだ。

　最早、経済成長よりも環境問題を優先して考えるべきであり、自然回帰を志向した新しいナチュラリズムを志向するのが適切であろう。新しいナチュラリズムでは、エコロジー、科学技術、社会学、経済学等を合わせて環境問題に立ち向かう姿勢が求められるだろう。

　このような時に、人類の気候変動対策は殆ど何もしていないに等しい。人類がこのような危険を冒している時に、報道機関は事実を伝えるのみで、市民を覚醒するべく深く考えさせるような報道をしていない。
　報道機関は表面的な事実だけを安易に伝えるだけでなく、世論を誘導する意志を持って、温暖化問題に向かうべきである。

　温暖化が進んでいる。単に進んでいるというより、むしろ加速していると言った方が正確であろう。まったく手を打っていないという訳ではないが、昨今の異常気象及び自然災害を勘案すると、確実に人類の最後が近づいているようだ。

　こうなっている理由は、驚く程、単純である。それは、今の資本主義及び民主主義では「温暖化を止めようと言う意志を人類が持てないからである。
