I drove through the Gombei Tunnel with my family yesterday, going to Kiso village. This tunnel has just opened and long been our wish because it takes us one and half an hour to go beyond the Gombei Pass.
Then we went to a tourist attraction, Nezame-no-toko, where it is said that Urashima Taro woke up long after he had opened the tamate-bako.

After that, we dropped in at a soba restaurant. I had “sunki-soba”. Sunki is a kind of pickles made of native turnip greens. It was too sour to keep eating. It is, however, a precious experience to enjoy a local food when we are there.
