【数字の言い方】
（時間の場合）
1:01 ------> one o one (ワン　オー　ワン）
1:30 -------> one thirty
1: 45--------> one forty-five

（お金の場合）

5,000 yen -------> five thousand yen
10,000 yen --------> ten thousand yen
33,300 yen -------> thirty three thousand three hundred yen
100,000 yen ------> one hundred thousand yen
1,000,000 yen--------> one million yen
23,000,000 yen --------> twenty three million yen
23,742,015 yen --------> twenty three million seven hundred forty two thousand fifteen yen

数字を英語に直してくれる便利なサイト
（分数の場合）
分母を序数（First, Second, Third, Fourthなど順番を数える時に使う数字）とする。分子が2以上になった時は分母の序数を複数にする。
1/2 -------> half / one half (one secondとはあまり言わないようです）
1/3 -------> one third
2/3 --------> two thirds
1/4 -------> one fourth
3/4 -------> three fourths

わたしが料理しているとき、夫は肩越しに立ってみている---------> When I cook, my husband stands and looks over my shoulder.

～の中に、～の中で
in, into
彼女はそのお店に行った-------> She went to the store.　
彼女はその店に入って行った--------> She went into the store. / She went in the store. (この場合inとintoはあまり意味に違いがない）
店へ走って入った--------> She ran into the store.
店の中で走った---------> She ran in the store.

~を通り抜けて　through
彼女が展覧会を見るために美術館に行ったとき、おなかが空いたので速足で（美術館を）通り抜けた-------> When she went to a museum to see an exhibition, she felt hungry so she walked quickly through.

redundant ----->(意味・内容・機能などが同じ物が他にもあるので)不必要な、冗長な。
英語は繰り返しを嫌う言語なので上の文の時にWhen she went to a museum to see an exhibition, she felt hungry so she walked quickly through the museum. と美術館を2度繰り返しません。最後のthe museumは余分、必要のないものという意味でredundantと言えます

walk by ------> 通りかかる 　walk by +場所------> そばを通る

私は何度もその交差点を通ったが今までこの花には気が付かなかった-------> I have passed （by ）the intersection many times but I haven’t noticed this flower until now.
雨の日には近所の喫茶店に行って窓の前に座って雨の中を通り過ぎる人たちを見るのが好きです-------> On rainy days I like to go to my neighborhood coffee store, sit in front of the window, and watch the people passing by outside in the rain.
Drive by -----> 車で通り過ぎる
通り過ぎるだけです--------> I’m just passing through.

【間：　during, while, between】
During+名詞
While+動名詞または主語動詞
During my trip（私の旅の間）/ during our class（私たちのクラスの間） / during my climb （登山の間）
While I drive（私が運転している間）/ while walking （歩いている間）
While I was sick （私が病気の間）
While I climbed （私が登山をしてた間）/ while climbing（登山をしている間）

between 　特定の2つのものの間
９と10の間------> Between 9 and 10
修理代は5千円から1万円の間になります-------> It will repair to cost between 5,000 yen and 10,000 yen.
