velour ------> ベロア、ビロード布の一種
allure -----> ~を魅了する
Your velour allures me.------> (直訳)あなたのベロアは私を魅了する ・(意訳)素敵なベロアですね
hassle VS troublesome (more sophisticated) *重要ではありません。面倒といいたいときはtroublesomeを使ってください
【 right 】
*rightには様々な意味があります。今日クラスで学んだのは副詞の「ちょうど」と「すぐに、直ちに」です
right away -----> すぐに(未来、過去のことにも使える) right now ------> すぐに、今現在(過去のことには使えない)
ここで待っています-------> I will wait here.
私は(ちょうど)ここで待っています-------> I will wait right here. *このときのrightは「ここ」の意味を強める意味
すぐにやって!-------> Do it
right now.
すぐに戻ってきます------> I’ll be right back
私はそれをすぐにやります-------> I’ll do it

このクラスのすぐ後にそれをします-------> I’ll do it right after this class.

*beautifullyの代わりにwonderfully(すばらしく)やperfectly(完璧に)を入れることもできる

私の旅の2週間前、私は旅の前に買ったカメラを失くしました------> Two weeks after my trip I lost my camera which I bought before my trip.
来月、歯医者の予約がある3日前に北海道に行きます------> Next month I will go to Hokkaido three days before that I have an appointment with the dentist.
【Completely (完全に), Perfectly (完璧に):先週の復習】
*講師によると、一般動詞の時はcompletely, perfectly(副詞)を文の後ろにもっていく方がいいそうです。be+形容詞の時はbe動詞と形容詞の間にcompletelyとperfectlyを入れる
completely は量的な意味。100パーセント
私は完全に理解していない-------> I don’t understand completely.
彼女は完璧に英語を話すことができます-------> She can speak English perfectly.
この箱は100パーセントいっぱいですけど、あの箱は完全に空です-------> This box is 100 % full but that box is completely empty.
私は完全に満足しています-------> I’m completely satisfied. *(satisfied : サティスファイド)
私は完全に満足していません------> I’m not completely satisfied.
わたしは100パーセント満足しています------> I’m 100 % satisfied.
彼女は完璧なボディバランスを持っている---------> She has balance perfectly. / She has perfect balance. (このperfectは形容詞)
この靴は私にぴったりです-------> These shoes fit me perfectly.
東京へ行く途中、新幹線で、隣に座っていた外国人とほぼ完全に英語で話しました------> On the way to Tokyo, on the bullet train, I talked with the foreigners (sitting) next to me (almost) completely in English.
私は完全に宿題を終えました(現在完了形)-------> I have finished my homework completely.
私は宿題を終えました--------> I am finished
with my homework. / I am finished
doing my homework.
*形容詞の時はmy homeworkの前に前置詞か動名詞がが必要
私は何が起こったのか完璧に覚えていない-------> I can’t remember what happened perfectly.
何が起こったのか完全には覚えていない--------> I can’t remember what happened completely.
私は彼の長くて役に立たないスピーチに完全に飽きた-------> I was completely bored with his long and useless speech.
私はまだ完全にわかっていない--------> I don’t understand completely yet.
彼は完全に妻の誕生日を忘れていたので、妻は完全に怒った-------> He
completely forgot his wife’s birthday so she was completely angry. *講師によるとこれはcompletelyが動詞の前。completely foget(forgot)とひと固まりで覚えること
【It's likely~ ありそう、可能性がありそう、It's unlikely ~なさそう、可能性は少ない】
可能性がある------> (形容詞)possible / 可能性--------> (名詞)possibility
可能性がない------> (形容詞)Impossible / 不可能-------> (名詞)impossibility
It's likely~の文の作り方
It's likely that+文(ほとんどの文はこれでできる) またはIt's likely to +動詞またはbe 形容詞(天気の表現はこちらが多い)
今日は雪が降るかもしれない、でも降りそうにない-------> It’s possible that it can snow today, but it’s not.
今夜は雪が降りそうだ-------> It’s likely
to snow tonight. *天気の時はこのtoを使うことが多い
今夜は雪が降りそうです-------> It’s likely that it will snow tonight.
日本政府は日本に住んでいるほとんどの人たちのために十分な量のワクチンを確保できそうだ---------> It’s likely that Japanese government can get enough vaccine dose of COVID-19 for most people who live in Japan by spring.
浅間の頂上にある雪はあと2か月で溶けて
なくなりそうにない-----> It’s unlikely that the snow on the top of the Asama will melt away in two month.
