Some home centers were sold out shovels.
いくつかのホームセンターではシャベルが売り切れていた
(it was a good chance を使って英文を作ってみよう)
It was a good chance for my son and his friends to make a snow man ans a hut from snow,
because it was the first time they could play with snow.
息子と息子の友達が雪で遊ぶのは初めてだったので雪だるまとかまくらをつくるためにいい機会だった

それはまだ少し危険
The snow is melting little by little, but it is still quite a dangerous standing under the edge of roof, because the snow may fall suddenly.
雪は少しづつ融けているけれど、突然雪が落ちてくるかもしれないので軒下に立つのはかなり危険です
I almost slipped on the slippery stairs.
私はもう少しで滑りやすい階段で滑るところでした
I almost slipped on the packed snow.
私はもう少しで踏み固めた雪で滑るところでした

After getting out of the sand. 砂から出た後
After getting out of a phone booth I realized I left my keys at home.
公衆電話を出た後私は鍵をうちに忘れてきたことに気が付いた
