DX直接民主制 （代議員制民主主義の機能不全）
代議員制民主主義は、市民に与えられた票を最も望ましいと思われる候補者に投票して、自身の意見や思いを国会の場で代弁してくれる事を前提として構築されている。
しかしながら、現状はどうだろうか？候補者と市民との接点は殆ど無く、たまにある選挙の際の選挙演説を聞いても信頼に足る人物なのかどうか、実行力はどうか、能力はどうかといった事は皆目分らない。
普段から選挙に備えて、これらの情報を集めないからだと言われても、そこまでする熱意は私にはないし、しなければいけないとも思わない。
更に、投票率は約50％と低く、若い世代の投票率が低い傾向にある。つまり言いたい事は、日本の代議員制度は、本来の前提条件を満たしていないという事である。
政治は社会の変化に即応して国や社会の有り方を変えていくための手段であって、この事の妨げになる事は可能な限り排除していく必要がある。
実際はどうだろうか？先の衆議院選挙で自民党が敗北したが、この時マスメディアは自民党の一党独裁が国民に嫌われ、本来の政党政治になったと喜んでいるようであった。私の気持ちは複雑である。「確かに腐敗した自民党の独裁よりは良いが、更に政治的決断が遅くなる。政治的混乱が多くなるのでは？」というのが私の思いである。
機能不全に陥っている代議員制民主主義において、小党分裂が進んだ状態を喜べと言われても、そのような気にはなれない。
DX Direct Democracy (Dysfunction of Representative Democracy)
Representative democracy is based on the premise that citizens will use the votes they are given to vote for the candidate they deem most desirable, and that they will have their opinions and thoughts represented in parliament.
However, what is the current situation? There is almost no contact between candidates and citizens, and even when we listen to the occasional election speech, we have no idea whether they are trustworthy, how capable they are, or what their capabilities are.
Even if I'm told that this is because I don't normally collect this kind of information in preparation for elections, I don't have the enthusiasm to go to that extent, nor do I think I need to.
Furthermore, the voter turnout rate is low at around 50%, and the younger generation tends to have a lower voter turnout rate. In other words, the Japanese representative system does not meet the original prerequisites.
Politics is a means to change the way the country and society work in response to changes in society, and anything that gets in the way of this needs to be eliminated as much as possible.
What is the reality? The LDP was defeated in the recent House of Representatives election, but at the time the mass media seemed to be happy that the LDP's one-party dictatorship had become unpopular with the public and that we were returning to traditional party politics. I have mixed feelings about this. "It's certainly better than the dictatorship of the corrupt LDP, but it will slow down political decisions even further. Won't this lead to more political turmoil?" is what I think.
It is hard to be happy about the increasing fragmentation of small parties in a dysfunctional representative democracy.
