　バイデン大統領が日本製鉄によるUSスチールの買収を妨害しようとしている。失礼な話である。
　自国の産業保護と安全保障の２つの意味があるとの事だが、両方共に意味が分らない。特に安全保障の意味では、日本は最も信頼がおける同盟国であると言っておきながら、日本は信用出来ないと言っているようなものである。

　そんな米国であれば、日米安全保障条約など有事の際には反故にされるかも知れない。いっその事、負担の多い安全保障条約など解約した方が良いのではないか？

　President Biden is trying to block Nippon Steel's acquisition of US Steel. How rude.
　It is said that this has two meanings, protecting the country's industries and security, but I don't understand the meaning of either of them. Especially in terms of security, it's like saying that Japan is the most reliable ally, but then saying that Japan cannot be trusted.

　With such a US, the Japan-US Security Treaty may be breached in the event of an emergency. Wouldn't it be better to just cancel burdensome security treaties?

　南米ベネズエラの経済が完全におかしくなっている。2021年に通貨価値の切り下げを行った事が原因らしいが、国民の9割以上が貧困状態にあるという。この時のデノミは6桁で日本円で言えば100万円が1円になるというものである。このため国に見切りをつけ、経済難民として他国を目指す人が774万人だという。同国の人口は2884万人（2023年）というから、凄まじい難民数である。

　同国に限らず、脆弱な国家は世界に多数存在する。政治の失敗は経済の不調、公共サービスの低下、暴力の蔓延というように繋がっていくから、国民の注意が必要である。

　The economy of Venezuela in South America is in complete disarray. This is apparently due to the devaluation of the currency in 2021, but more than 90% of the population is said to be living in poverty. The devaluation was six digits, which means that 1 million yen would become 1 yen in Japanese currency. As a result, 7.74 million people have given up on the country and are going other countries as economic refugees. The country's population is said to be 28.84 million (as of 2023), so this is a staggering number of refugees.

　This is not limited to Venezuela and there are many fragile countries in the world. Political failure leads to economic stagnation, a decline in public services, and the spread of violence, so people need to be careful.

 

民主主義が最善であるという幻想

民主主義が最善であるという幻想

　欧米の民主主義国家が混乱している。今や欧米の民主主義国家対中露の全体主義国家との対決へと向かっているようだ。
　民主主義では独裁者が生まれにくいというメリットはあるが、金権政治や衆愚制に陥り易いという欠点の他、政策が定まりにくい、長期的課題には対処しにくい等の欠点もあり、とてもではないが現代に適合している政治システムと言い難い。
　しかも、一端全市民に公平に参政権を与えてしまったために、より合理的な政治参画のシステムにシフトしようとしても相当の困難が伴うであろう。

　民主主義が有効だという幻想から抜け出す事は不可能に近いが、抜け出さなければ人類に未来はない。

The illusion that democracy is the best
　Western democracies are in turmoil. We seem to be heading toward a showdown between Western democracies and the totalitarian states of China and Russia.
　Democracy has the advantage of making it less likely for dictators to emerge, but it also has the disadvantages of easily falling into money politics and mob rule, as well as making it difficult to decide on policies and deal with long-term issues, making it difficult to say that it is a political system that is in a way suited to the modern age.
　Moreover, once the right to vote has been given equally to all citizens, and so any attempt to shift to a more rational system of political participation will likely be extremely difficult.

　It is nearly impossible to break free from the illusion that democracy is effective, but if we don't, humanity has no future.

 

日本再生！

日本再生！

　今の日本は死んでいるようだ。国の方針は定まらず、外交に主体性はない。産業はというと、第二次大戦後の日本のように元気な企業が出てこない。
　欧米を真似る事があたかも最善であるかのような風潮があり、自身の頭で考える事をしなくなったようだ。

　このような閉塞感は平和憲法を持った筈なのに、軍備を持ち、世界で唯一の被爆国であるのに核兵器反対の強い主張を行えず、外交上はアメリカに追従してばかりいる事から来るのだろう。

　今や日本は過去の鎖から自らを解き放ち、真の独立国として立ち上がるべきである。そのためには、半ば従属的立場に置かれる原因となっている日本の米軍基地を返してもらう位の発想は必要であろう。
　また、日本の国体を見直し日本にあった憲法に改正する事も必要であろう。
　見直しをする際には世界銀行のガバナンス指標によって国家の方向性を探るのが良いかも知れない。

Reborn Japan!
　Japan today seems dead. The country has no set policy and no independence in foreign affairs. As for industry, there are no vibrant companies like those in Japan after World War II. There is a tendency to believe that imitating the West is the best thing to do, and it seems people have stopped thinking for themselves.

　This sense of stagnation probably stems from the fact that, although Japan has a pacifist constitution, it possesses military powers, and is the only country in the world to have suffered an atomic bombing, it has been unable to take a strong stance against nuclear weapons, and has instead simply followed the lead of the United States in diplomatic matters.

　Now is the time for Japan to free itself from the chains of the past and rise up as a truly independent nation. To do so, it will need to consider ways of thinking such as asking for the return of the U.S. military bases that have placed Japan in a semi-subordinate position.
　It will also be necessary to reconsider Japan's  structure of the state and revise the constitution to suit Japan.
　When doing so, it may be a good idea to use the World Bank's governance indicators to gauge the nation's direction.

金権政治に堕ちた自民党

　自民党と野党の間で企業・団体献金の廃止を巡って討議されている。自民党は賄賂ではないので公開すれば問題はないとしているが、お金であろうとなかろうと支援をするからには、何らかの恩返しを期待するのが人情である。
　自民党の活動が企業よりに傾いてしまうのが当然で、その事が問題である事が分らないのだろうか？情報を公開すれば良いのではないかという思考は、問題を認識していない証拠であろう。

　金権体質に嵌ってしまった政党には、政権を取る資格は無い。

The Liberal Democratic Party’s Fall into Money Politics
　The Liberal Democratic Party and the opposition parties are currently discussing the abolition of corporate and group donations. The Liberal Democratic Party claims that it is not a bribe, so it is not a problem if it is made public, but when you give support, whether it is money or not, it is human nature to expect some kind of return.
　Is it natural that the LDP's activities will lean more to the side of companies, and do they not realize that this is a problem? The idea that simply disclosing information is the answer is proof that they do not recognize the problem.

　A political party that is mired in a money-driven mentality has no qualification to take power.
