ワイヤー・アートはレディーメードの影響を受けていれば自然の流れとして出くわすことになる。　ここにあげたアレキサンダー・カルダーの“顔“もほんの一例で、グーグルで検索すれば沢山の面白い作品が出てくるだろう。



色の付いたワイヤーを立体空間に描く線として考えている訳で、彫刻を制作するのとは感じが違うような気がする。　例えは悪いかもしれないが、３Dプリンターで立体を描いていくのに似ているかもしれない。



そう言えば３０年前のサン・フランシスコでの個展の時も、色々な色のビニールでカバーされた針金のハンガーを使って、インスタレーションを出展していたのを思い出した。



Color Wires and Plastic Color:
It is ironical that I’m advocating through the ready-mades that anyone can be an artist without drawing or painting. Why anyone would buy an artwork if anybody can make it.
Well, almost anyone can play a guitar but only a few people would be paid to play.

I didn’t make the replica of the bicycle wheel to sell, I wanted to convey the ideas by reproducing it. Sometimes an art work can’t be a commercial good even though you can put a price tag on it.



In this piece I purposely stayed in basic so the people could think that I could do that. It is very important to do it yourself and to get experience in creating process, but most people just say it and never do it.

The wire art or wire as media is quite interesting to me. There are many exciting wire sculptures as may know like Calder’s wire face. If you can imagine that color lines that you can draw in 3-D space, a painting in 3-D canvas kainda thing.

30 years age at my first exhibit in San Francisco, I made an assemblage piece which made with color plastic coated coat hangers. Three decades later I’m still doing same thing. I’ve got get something improved here soon.
