◇周囲も積極的に声かけて
女性に対する暴力は深刻です。暴力をなくすため、以下の３点を提案します。（１）被害者が夫や恋人から逃れられる場所を政府が用意し、経済的な支援を保証する（２）女性への暴力を助長する写真や動画、漫画などを厳しく規制する（３）被害の可能性がある女性に積極的に声をかけ、児童虐待同様、警察や行政への通報まで行う習慣を持つ。
茨城県鹿嶋市の私立鹿島学園高で今年、女子ソフトボール部の監督を務めていた男性（４４）が部員６人に対し、ライターで耳にやけどを負わせるなどの行き過ぎた行為があったことが２７日、学園への取材で分かった。学園は９月１５日付で懲戒解雇した。保護者や学園関係者への説明を十分に果たしたとし、公表はしていなかった。
学園によると、８月１０日、遠征で静岡県から神奈川県に移動するバスの中で、寝ていた１、２年生計３人の耳元に点火したライターを近づけ、１年生１人の耳たぶに軽いやけどを負わせた。
６月の練習試合では、２年生の頭をホワイトボードで数回たたき、８月の練習試合でも、ヘルメットをかぶっていない１年生と２年生の頭をバットのグリップ部分でたたいた。３人とも大きなけがはなかった。
８月下旬、保護者が学園に相談して発覚した。男性は平成２２年に事務職員として採用され、県内外の中学生を自らスカウトし２３年４月に創部。今春には初の全国大会出場に導いた。
２０年に１度の式年遷宮でにぎわう三重県伊勢市の伊勢神宮内宮（ないくう）門前にある商店街「おかげ横丁」について、地元の老舗和菓子製造販売「赤福」の前社長、浜田益嗣（ますたね）氏（７６）が２６日、津市であったフォーラムの対談で「おかげ横丁には外人は来てほしくない」などと発言した。伊勢市は今年の神宮参拝者を１３００万人と予測し、外国人誘客にも取り組んでいる。
フォーラムは同県などが主催。地域活性化をテーマに、経営者ら約３５０人が集まった。この中の対談で、おかげ横丁建設の経緯などについて聞かれた浜田氏は「外人は来てほしくない。いたらおかしいでしょ。来ないでくれとは言えないが、英語の表記をするような気遣いはしない」と話した。
内宮、外宮（げくう）では今年１０月、式年遷宮のクライマックス「遷御（せんぎょ）の儀」が行われ、参拝者が過去最高の１０００万人を突破している。市は外国人観光客をもてなすため、飲食店や土産物店の経営者向けに英会話の研修会を開くなどしている。
浜田氏は毎日新聞の取材に、社長を務める関連会社を通じて「伊勢は日本人の心のふるさとで、日本の方々に喜んでもらう街をつくりたいという意味の発言だった。外国人への偏見ではない」とコメントした。【大野友嘉子】
