Nuclear blinders
North Korea's newly revealed nuclear facility should surprise no one, and Washington must no longer be played for a fool. The U.S. should work with China on reunifying the Korean peninsula.

The last thing Washington should do now is resurrect the failed six-party talks or start bilateral negotiations with the North. Instead, serious efforts need to be made with China on reunifying the Korean peninsula, a goal made ever more urgent by the clear transition of power now underway in Pyongyang as Kim Jong Il faces the actuarial tables. North Korea's threat will only end when it does, and that day cannot come soon enough.

　米国がやっちゃいけないことは、６カ国協議や米朝協議にのること、やるべきことは中国と協調して、南北統一をすること。
　やっちゃいけないのはそうかもしれないが、米中協調してそんなことできるかね？

　中国は北朝鮮寄り、もっとも最近煙たがっている傾向も。ただ、中国にとって緩衝地帯だというのは重要で、南北統一というからには、在韓米軍撤退が前提じゃないのかな？

たしか、一部地域では認められていたような。

論理的に言えば、個人の意思の同意があれば、一夫多妻も一妻多夫も自由であっていいことにはなる、と思う。

アイルランドが４年間の財政再建策　消費増税や公務員減

　【ロンドン＝有田哲文】欧州連合（ＥＵ）と国際通貨基金（ＩＭＦ）から緊急融資を受けるアイルランド政府は２４日、２０１１年から４年間の財政再建策を発表した。現行２１％の付加価値税（消費税）率を２３％に引き上げ、公務員を約２万５千人削減することで、国内総生産（ＧＤＰ）の９％にあたる１５０億ユーロ（１兆７千億円）を圧縮する。

　財政赤字のＧＤＰ比は、今年は３２％になるが、１４年に３％以内に抑える。政府債務のＧＤＰ比は１３年に１０２％と最大になるが、１４年には１００％に落ちる見通し。こうした再建策を前提にＥＵ・ＩＭＦが緊急融資を決める方向で、総額は約８５０億ユーロ（９兆５千億円）になる見通し。

　緊縮策１５０億ユーロのうち、公共投資や社会福祉の削減などで１００億ユーロを削り、所得増税や家庭向け水道の有料化などの増税・負担増で５０億ユーロをひねり出す。最低賃金も１ユーロ下げて時給７．６５ユーロ（８６０円）にする。カウエン首相は会見で「誰も逃げられない」と述べ、国民に痛みを求めた。ただ、欧州最低水準の１２．５％の法人税は増税しない。

　市場では、再建策に伴う成長率見通しが楽観的すぎるなどの理由からアイルランド国債が売られ、１０年物国債金利が一時９．２％に達した。

　まあ、なんというか、経済のことはわからんが、日本でも、誰かが、消費増税・公務員削減いまやるか、破綻してからやるか、の違いがあるだけ、と言っていたっけね。

中国は北朝鮮側につくだろうし、この事件が落ち着いても、北朝鮮の核問題が待っている、しかも、北朝鮮は核問題に関しては　いまや、（プロトニューム・ウランの）二つの核兵器開発に対処しなくてはいけなくなっている。


打つ手なしですな。

東アジア諸国はこの件を通じて、米国の力量、また米軍のプレゼンスの価値を見定めようとしていることもお忘れなく。

こりゃまた、全く異なる視点からの分析

米国は軍事力が強いから、こういうときは、ドルの価値が上がる、と。それはいいとして、今回の事件について、

１）李明博大統領はいままでの大統領と違って対話路線ではなく、aggressive 挑戦的・好戦的である。

２）韓国船沈没は北朝鮮によるものと断定はしきれず、大統領が米国と組んでやった可能性も否定できない。

３）この地域での軍事演習は北朝鮮のみならず中国とも対立を深めるかもしれない。

中国はそもそも米韓軍事演習に抗議していたわけですね。

ロシア報道だから、米国が背後にいる、と読んでいるのだろう。１）２）は陰謀論的なにおいてするが、陰謀論でもなんでも、こうした認識をする人々が世界にはいるのだ、と認識しておくことは重要だと思う。

３）についてはもっともで、だからこそ、本当に手詰まりなわけですね。

　さて、日本はすでにいろいろなシナリオを描いて対応策はねってあるのだろうか？

　そこらへん、心配やな。
