無関心・無感動から

ここんところずっと頭がボーとして「ああ、年かいな」などとダラダラしていたが、有道ブログの文章と、そうしたことに対してなぜ日本人が無関心・無感動でいられるのかな、などと考えていたら、なにかメラメラとしてかえって元気になった。ボーとためておいたやつをちょこっと・・・

Civil liberties union sues NYPD over race records

NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York Civil Liberties Union has sued the New York Police Department seeking records identifying the race of everyone shot by city police officers since January 1997.

The NYCLU says the lawsuit filed Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court is part of its effort to determine if race has played an inappropriate role in police shootings.

The group says that about 90 percent of people shot by police in years past were black or Hispanic. The NYPD says the finding comports with the fact that 98.6 percent of all shooting suspects in the last six months and 97.5 percent of shooting victims were black or Hispanic.

The city's Law Department says it hasn't received the legal papers but would review them upon receipt

おれはこのニュースはわりに重視する。南京虐殺でもその虐殺数を問題にすること自体否定されることが多い。フランスでは虐殺に対する関与そのものを否定している。要するに、嫌疑に対して自分たちの主張することは正当なわけだ。事実この記事ではむしろフランス側の主張をかなり報道している。フランス側の表現の仕方にも注目したい。

少しは日本人も怒れよ、と思う・・・・。

本文で、「外人」という言葉と「ニガー」という言葉比定して、
コメント欄では、いろいろ意見はあるが、例えば、「外人」はニガーとまではいかなくても「Japs」と同じだろう、など言っている。

　ニガーやジャップが蔑称となったのは、そのような奴隷制度や戦時中の収容など、法的、制度的差別の実体関係を反映してのことだろう。そうした関係がないにもかかわず、「外人」という言葉が蔑称で不適切というなら、「foreigner」という言葉、あるいは、Japan Britishなどの言葉も抹消していただきたいものだ。すべてperson,people,guy,guys などですませてもらおう。
自分たちが母国ではやりもしないことを要求するダブルスタンダードには飽き飽きした。

それにしてもあきれる。放送界が、根拠薄弱に「外人」を放送禁止用語にするからこんなことになる。無根拠に譲歩すればつけいられるのが世界の情勢だ。肝にすえるべきだ。外車は外国車、そして、非日本車、いや、それも差別だ、じゃあ、なんて呼ぶのだ、ということになる。なんと日本人は車まで差別用語を使っている、ヒドイ国だ！！！最悪だな。人種差別の中心国としかいいようがないな。

　「ごめんなさい、ごめんなさい」あやまり続ければよいのだ。

　ま、おれには関係ない、関係ない、そう自分に言い聞かせた方がよっぽど気楽だ。
　ただ、自分の周りの
外人には気をつけよう
　堅気にみえてバッチをみてやくざかもしれない、と気をつけるのと同じである。
　こんないいがかりばかりつけれらてはたまったもんじゃない！！！ふざんけな！！！

　まあ、おれはいい外人さんのいることがわかっているから、いいが、知らない人は可哀想な気もするが・・・関係ない、関係ない・・・・　「ごめんなさい、すいません」ってあやまっていればいい。

しかし、これもすごいね。

Not all Japanese love a bilingual white guy and it can work against you.
When I came through customs in March, I made the mistake of letting them know I spoke Japanese. They then proceeded to use me as a gaijin test-dummy, asking me the same questions repeatedly interrogation style, showing me pictures of the same drugs over and over asking me if I had any, making a big show of searching my travel wallet where everyone could see it, and then searching me and my white friend, who they had already cleared but called back after they got to me, in a half-open room with about seven guards in attendance learning from my example. When I went through customs in June, I pretended not to speak Japanese and still got the drug treatment, but no search. I’m pretty sure its because I made it clear I wouldnt be as convenient as before.


Now mind you, I know full well that if my skin had had more melatonin in it, I may have been treated even worse. But I can’t agree with you that the discrimination is always in our favor, or even most of the time.
