Japan Post Group has decided that it will entrust private firms with the operation of post office work in unpopulated areas. Specifically,as its first step, it is going to entrust some of summary post office works to Secom Co.,Ltd.,the most major security company in Japan.Japan Post,which was privatized in October last year,is obliged to maintain the network of post offices consisting of more than 24 thousand offices across the country,keeping its profitability.While it had not implemented the trust of its work to private firms before its privatization,it has decided to do so in order to both improve its business efficiency and maintain the nationwide post office network.
