ZOOM Meeting

2021-09-15 07:28:21 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

I organize a meeting for one organization every month.
Before, members used to come to the head office in Tokyo from local areas.
But now, due to the pandemic, we have meetings by using ZOOM.

We don’t have any problem about a meeting through ZOOM.
WE can hear voices and see each other clearly.
We can share some documents and photos on screen.

The time of meeting became shorter than before.
It seems a ZOOM meeting proceeds faster than a real meeting.

Since members don’t need to move, they can save the time.

Even if the corona problem ends, we will still continue to have
ZOOM meetings.

Novak Djokovic

2021-09-14 07:27:45 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

Yesterday, the final match for men’s singles of the US Open Tennis
Tournament between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev was played.

If Djokovic won, he would achieve “Calendar Grand slam” which means
one player gets all Grand slam titles in one same year.

But the winner was not him but Medvedev.

Djokovic said at the interview after the game,
“I’m disappointed but relieved at the same time.
Until today, I had a lot of pressure.
And I was very happy to feel a lot of support from spectators.
Thank you so much,”

He seemed he was a perfect super tennis player.
But I understood he was also human.
I hope he will recover and play well again.

Library

2021-09-13 07:30:16 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

Last Saturday, I visited a clinic for a regular medical check.
On another floor of the building, there was a new library.
I dropped by there for the first time.

I borrowed one book but I was not able to find the book
that I really wanted to read.

Coming back home, I checked the website of the library of our city.
Our city has 16 public libraries.
Through the website, we can search and reserve our favorite books.
We can receive and return the books that we reserved in any library.

Since I understood the system, I will use our town’s libraries
as much as possible.

Emma, Congratulations!

2021-09-12 10:10:40 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

The final match for woman’s singles in The US Open Tennis Tournament
has finished now.

This game was the confrontation between teenagers, Emma Raducanu from
the UK and Leylah Fernandez from Canada.

Leylah played well but Emma surpassed her and became the champion.
The score was 6-4, 6-3.

Emma’s ranking before this tournament was very low, so she had to
try qualifying round to join the main draw.
But now, she is the champion. She is a Cinderella girl!

Congratulations, Emma.
Emma and Leylah will lead a professional female tennis field.

2021-09-11 08:27:25 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

It’s amazing!
Finally, we will see the confrontation between teenagers.

In the US Open Tennis Tournament, two fresh tennis players
proceeded to the final match.

Leyla Fernandez from Canada, who is 19 years old and her world
ranking is 73rd.

Emma Raducanu from UK, who is 18 years old and her world ranking
is 150.

Before this tournament started, both of them were not known very well
but now they are in the spotlight.

The match will be played tomorrow.
I hope they will attract us with wonderful performances.
