Warm days

Hi there again! It’s Jun Tomioka!

We spent cold days for a few months, but it’s getting warm
these days. The highest temperature in Tokyo was 12 degrees
yesterday. It will be 18 degrees today by the weather report.

The motorbike season has come.
I am going to Oiso in Kanagawa today by my motorbike.
There are a beautiful beach and a fishing port.

I am looking forward to eating the fresh fish food there.

Reunion

Hi there again! It’s Jun Tomioka!

Yesterday, I had a meeting about a reunion in my junior high
school days.

The junior high school holds a reunion every five years.
I am a member of the organizers of this event.
We decided on the date of the next reunion.
It will be held on the 3rd of November in 2024.

We are going to discuss details from now on.

Saki Baba

Hi there again! It’s Jun Tomioka!

Golf season has come.
I stopped playing golf but I am cheering for Japanese women’s golfers
who play in professional tours.

Miss Saki Baba is 17 years old.
Last year, she became the champion in All American Amateur Tournament.
She is still an amateur golfer but now joins a professional tour,
HONDA LPGA THAILAND.

She plays very well and keeps a good position.
Today is the final day of the tournament.

I am looking forward to watching her good play.

A bookstore’s YouTube channel

Hi there again! It’s Jun Tomioka!

I found an interesting article in a newspaper called Nikkei MJ.

Yurindo is a bookstore’s chain popular in Japan and is recently
getting popular in YouTube with over 200,000 subscribers.

The channel’s title is “The world that only Yurindo knows”
It introduces inside stories such as the process of how
new bookstore is built, the daily routine of one novelist, etc.

In the channel, many employees of Yurindo appear and they
talk a lot freely.

Books are not sold very much these days.
They are trying to make people be interested in books
as much as possible.

I respect their efforts to stimulate the industry and the company.

Tempura Suzuki

Hi there again! It’s Jun Tomioka!

My wife likes to eat tempura which is a Japanese kind of food
of deep-fried battered seafood or vegetables.

A few weeks ago, I took her to a high-class tempura restaurant
named TEN-ICHI. She was pleased to eat delicious tempura.

However, we can’t visit such a high-end restaurant so often
because it costs a lot.

Therefore, I took her to a casual tempura restaurant named
Tempura Suzuki in Kamata yesterday. It is located close to my house.

The restaurant is totally different from TEN-ICHI, but we can eat
freshly fried tempura and its atmosphere is busy. Young staff are
working lively. Besides, it doesn’t cost so much.

Both my wife and I are satisfied.
We hope to visit there again next time.
