Early Bird

2022-07-31 10:01:03 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

I like going to McDonald’s near my house by my motorbike
early in the morning. Yesterday, I went there as well.

When I got to the dining room at 6:30 a.m., there were
eight customers, including me.

All customers were men. Out of eight customers, only one
was young. The others were all old people which includes me.

The old men were early birds. They didn't seem busy
and were just spending relax time while having some coffee.
Me, too.

I'm not sure whether they've caught the worm or not.

Sunburn

2022-07-30 08:31:59 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

The day before yesterday, I tried sailing at Zushi Beach.
It was scorching hot that day. The sun was shining very brightly.

I wore a cap and a swimsuit and put on a sunscreen on my face
to avoid sunburn.

The very next day, I felt a burning sensation in my wrists.
And when I had a look at the parts that were not covered by my swimsuit,
they were very red.

Lesson learned:
I will put a sunscreen on my face and wrists next time.

Sailing

2022-07-29 09:03:29 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

Yesterday, I took a sailing lesson for the first time.
There were two students including me.

At first, we had a lecture about sailing in a room.
We learned the process that a sailing boat go forward by wind,

After the lesson, we finally went to the sea and got on the boat.
At first, an instructor gave us a demonstration.
Next, we, the students tried sailing.

But it was not easy for me.
I was not able to do what the instructor suggested.
I became panicked. The boat began to spin.
I hit my head on a boom hardly. It was painful.

After lunch, we tried again.
I began to settle down and understood how to sail gradually.
Since I practiced many times, I improved,

I hope I will do much better next time.

One more kg

2022-07-28 07:00:00 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

I am on a diet now.
My target weight is 65 kg.
When I started, my weight was 71kg and it is 66kg now,
I want to lose one more kg to achieve my goal but it is
not easy. I am struggling.

Yesterday, I had a chance to talk to a person who tried
on a diet too. He gave me a good information.
He said he takes a supplement to burn fat and it is very
effective,

I went to a drug store and bought it soon.
I hope I will reach my target by taking the supplement.

Customers’ complaints

2022-07-27 08:29:10 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

I had a meeting with a manager of a café yesterday.
He was concerned about customers’ complaints.

The most common complaint is about young part time workers.
Customers feel bad while they are chatting.
Some young workers have a weak sense of responsibility.

A manager should warn them when he finds their bad
behaviors. But if his waring is too strict, they quit
their job easily. Recently, shops tend to have a lack
of staffs. It’s not easy for shops to hire new staff.

Managers need high level management skills.
