Demand for Sushi Chef

2022-09-30 08:27:23 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

I read a newspaper called Nikkei MJ(Marketing Journal)
and found an interesting article.

There are heated scrambles for sushi chefs in foreign countries
while Japanese food is becoming popular.

The demand for sushi chefs is recently increasing because
rich people in foreign countries are not able to visit Japan
Due to the pandemic.

Japanese sushi chefs are required not only techniques for making
sushi but also performances to make customers enjoy like
telling jokes in English, showy actions.

In Japan, sushi bars are popular. Special machines make sushi.
Sushi chefs are likely to lose their jobs.
They should try to work abroad.
Note that they have to study English and sense of humor.

Notebook

2022-09-29 07:59:36 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

Yesterday, I had my third sailing lesson. It had been a while
from the second lesson three weeks ago.

I forgot many things that was taught to me before.
Since I am old, I have a poor memory.
I was surprised that I was not able to do even a simple knot.

I have prepared a notebook so I can write down the things
I learn in sailing.

I have to do it within the lesson day, otherwise I will forget
the points.

State Funeral

2022-09-28 07:00:00 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

Yesterday, the state funeral for Mr. Shinzo Abe who is a former
prime minister and worked for the longest time as the role,
was held at the Nihon Budokan. About 4,300 people including
700 guests from foreign countries attended it.

I watched it on TV.
I was impressed with the speeches by Mr.Kishida and Mr.Suga.
Mr.Kishida is a present prime minister and started to work
as a politician at the same time with Mr.Abe.
Mr.Suga worked as a prime minister after Mr.Abe resigned.

They spoke about Mr.Abe’s contribution to Japan and expressed
their sincere condolences. When I heard their speeches, I wept
naturally. I think we Japanese lost the great person.

Fujimi Café

2022-09-27 11:58:30 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

Last Sunday, I went to Mt.Hakone area by my motorbike.
After visiting The Hakone Open-Art Museum, I headed to
a café named ‘Fujimi Café’.

We can enjoy a nice view of Mt.Fuji from the terrace sheets
if we are lucky. It depends on the weather.

Last Sunday was fine. I expected a nice view.
However, I was not able to see Mt.Fuji because crowds covered it.
What a pity!

I hope to visit there again soon.

PICASSO

2022-09-26 09:36:35 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka again!

Recently, we've had a lot of days with bad weather,
but yesterday was fine.
I went to Mt.Hakone area by my motorbike.

There are many museums in this area.
I visited one of them, The Hakone Open-Art Museum.

There were a lot of sculptures by famous artists in the garden.
And also, there was a‘PICASSO Museum’.
This museum owns over 300 arts such as his paintings and ceramics.
I was able to see parts of them.

Psychedelic art comes to mind when we think of Picasso.
He did, however, painted the usual beautiful arts when he was younger.
He gradually changed his way to express his passion.

I hope to visit there to see his other arts next time.
