I conducted a business training about "leadership"
yesterday.

In Japan, “Sossen Suihan” is a word that describes
the important point for leadership.

"Sossen" means taking the initiative.
"Suihan" means setting an example.

If you behave something differently with what you are always
telling your team members, they would not trust you.

Leader should be a good example for members,
otherwise they would not follow him or her.

Hi everyone!
My name is Jun Tomioka and I'm a business consultant.

I’m reading a series of column of the NIKKEI newspaper.
It is the column written by Mrs.Chiyono Terada, the founder
of Art Corporation.

Art Corporation is the first company in Japan that specializes
in moving services.
50 years ago, moving service was only a part of trucking companies'
services. The level of service was not so good.

Mrs.Terada was interested in it and tried to train staff to
provide kind and careful services. The company grew up very much.

Before, it was unusual to have a female company owner.
So she was often asked to take some posts from several economic
organizations. She expressed her opinions to improve the status
of women.

I respect her pioneer spirit.

Hi everyone!
My name is Jun Tomioka and I'm a business consultant.

Tennis is my favorite sport.

Recently, I joined the business consultants’ tennis club
and yesterday I participated in a tennis match.
After the match, we went for a drink and talked about tennis
and also business. It was fun!

I want to continue to play tennis as long as I can.

Hi, everyone.
My name is Jun Tomioka and I am a Business Consultant.

I had a meeting with my client.
She runs nail salons and eyelash salons.

We discussed about many things to expand the business.
In conclusion, we agreed that the most important resource
is staff.

When I talked with her, I was interested in two employees.
One is good at analyzing, another one has good leadership.

I advised her to discuss with these two employees and consider
about the strategy of the company.
Of course, I am happy to help them.

Hi, everyone.
My name is Jun Tomioka and I am a Business Consultant.

M&A stands for Merger and Acquisitions.
Before, there were only big deals between big companies but
recently deals between small businesses are increasing,
We call it “Small M&A”.

Small M&A is one of ways for business succession of small business.
When an old aged company owner considers about business
succession, he thinks about 4 possibilities, such as
succession to his son or daughter, succession to an employee,
succession to a third party and giving up his business.
A succession to a third party is M&A.

As a business consultant, I will try to help them meet a good
business partner for the success of small M&A.
