Yesterday evening, three days after I noticed the buds swelling, the wintersweet flowers bloomed. That faint sweet scent has returned. It's spring.
On February 18th last year, I was drawn to this small pot of red wintersweet and bought it from a home improvement store.
Due to my health condition, I only watered the plant once a week after summer and used liquid fertilizer, and it survived the winter.
I am impressed by the way that, with its small body, it has been able to withstand attacks from deer and wild boars, produce buds, and bloom into flowers.
What a strong girl. You have given me courage and hope to face tomorrow. Thank you, Beni-chan!🌱🎊😊🙌
