Living in extreme poverty for a long time, 

Toki is at her wit's end when an offer for a job comes in. 

It's as a live-in maid in the home of a foreign English teacher. 

Toki decides to become a maid. 

The foreign English teacher has been searching 

for a place to belong and has ended up in Japan.
At first, Toki struggles with the language barrier 

and cultural differences. But they soon realize 

that they are in similar situations, 

and gradually they begin to understand each other. 

What's more, they both love ghost stories.
These two oddballs tell each other ghost stories every night.
