Powerful green laser pointer available in 2017

*Never point laser beam to airplane nor eyes*

High power output laser pointer is not allowed to sell in some countries. But it is good for astronomy events or some hobbies.

But somehow we can buy and import from Alibaba.com in China.

What I bought is SDlaser303 in Alibaba.com with only $9.11.

They shipped with bubble package and it took about 3 weeks from China to Japan.

This is the unscrewed parts. Safety key at the bottom end, you can remove keys when the safety switch is on. Keep the key turn off when not in use.

At the top end, there's grating to scatter beam to multiple beam point as next picture.

You can see the grating (foggy filter). but you can easily remove it, just unscrew it.

 

Now I see the single, strong beam like this. yay!

The output power is good enough. The beam is easily visible at night. Easy to point stars, it is a good tool to explain stars.

 

How strong? I am not sure. I have no power meter.

So I try to point the wall at sunset time.

If you want to burn something, you can unscrew objective lens so you can focus the laser to nearer.

 

Green DPSS lasers are sometimes sensitive to temperature, I bought 4 lasers then chose the best.
 

 

 

The label says it is less than 10W!! Yes, definitely it is less than 10W. I think it is around 100mW, maybe. 
And ClassIIIA is not correct, it should be class IV or class IIIB.
