前置詞と方角をあらわす名詞を使った位置関係のあらわし方：
①A is located to the wset of Tokyo
②A is located in the west of Tokyo
③A is located on the wset of Tokyo
①は、Aが東京の西にあって、東京から離れた場所にある。例えば甲府にあるとかの場合に使えます。
②は、Aが東京のうちにあって、その中の西部地域にあるという場合です。奥多摩とか青梅とかにあるなどの場合です。
③は東京に隣接した山梨県の山岳部、雲取山とか丹波山の辺りにあるなどの場合です。東京と接した場所にあるとのことです。
そのほかに、東京から西南に５０ｋの場所にあるなどの場合には、
Kamakura is about 50km southwest of Tokyo. となります。
