Biker’s Paradise

2021-09-25 14:29:34 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

On the way to my mother’s house in Atami, I dropped by “Biker’s
Paradise” in Hakone.
It’s the store for bikers and located on the top of Hakone Mountain pass.

It’s my first time to visit there.

In the store, some classic bikes were displayed.
We can enjoy shopping and eating there.
They also provide rental bike services.
There were many kinds of rental bikes, from Japanese bike to
foreign bikes.

Since it was a nice place, I will visit there again soon.

Atami

2021-09-24 18:00:57 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

Yesterday was a national holiday.
I drove my motor bike.
I enjoyed riding on Hakone Mountain road and after that,
visited my mother’s house in Atami City.

Atami is a tourist site.
During daytime, young tourists gathered at popular sweets shops
and restaurants but it was very quiet in the evening.
Many hotels and bars closed due to the pandemic.

The government will lift the state of emergency soon.
I hope Atami will recover and many people will go there again.

By the way, I recorded many videos while driving and dropping by
some places in Hakone and Atami.
I will edit and post them to my YouTube cannel.
I’m looking forward to doing it this weekend.

Corporate Brand Research

2021-09-23 06:28:11 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

I read a newspaper and found an article about corporate brands.

Nikkei Research announced “Corporate Brand Research in 2021”.
This is the ranking that consumers in Japan evaluated.

1.Google
2.Kewpie
3.Yamato Transportation
4.Calbee
5.Ajimomoto
6.Meiji
7.Sony Group
8.Nissin Foods
9.Apple Japan
10.Japan Coca-Cola

Google jumped up to No1 from 10th of last year because YouTube that
they are providing became popular.

Google, Sony, and Apple are related to IT.
The services from them are necessary for us these days.

Yamato delivers a lot of goods to us.
The popularity might be related to pandemic because many people
use electric commerce.

Out of the Top 10, 6 companies are related to foods and beverages.
Japanese are interested in them very much.

Lack of sleep

2021-09-22 07:29:30 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

I read a newspaper and found an interesting article.

One thinktank in the U.S.A tried to calculate the amount of
Economic loss through lack of sleep in Japan.
It’s 15 trillion yen (150 billion US dollars) annually.
What a huge amount!

Base on research by OECD, the average Japanese sleep for about
7 hours and 22 minutes. This is amongst the lowest rank of OECD
compared to other countries. I guess 7 hours and 22 minutes
is not a bad figure, but they said a persons' sleep
8 hours and 24 minutes on average.

Although a proper time of sleep is a little bit different
for each person,
we need to sleep enough to work well.

Respect for the Aged Day

2021-09-21 07:30:19 | 日記
Hi there! Jun Tomioka here.

Yesterday was a national holiday called Respect for the Aged Day.

I checked the history of this holiday.
In 1947, one village mayor made 15th of September as Respect for the
Aged Day to make a better village by listening to old people’s opinions.
19 years later, this day became a national holiday.
Now, this holiday is the third Monday of September to connect weekend.

I made a telephone call to my mother who lives far from my home.
She didn’t realize that yesterday was that holiday because everyday
is like a holiday for her. She is easy-going.

Anyway, I hope she will live cheerfully as long as possible.
