世田谷美術館に行った
ヨーロッパの印象派の名画を見に
I went to the Setagaya Museum
to see the masterpieces of famous
European Impressionists.
展示のタイトルは「ヴィンタートゥール・コレクション」
ヴィンタートゥールというのはスイスの小都市の名前で
素晴らしい美術館があるんだって
The title of the exhibition is
"Winterthur Collection"
Winterthur is a name of a small town in Switzerland
and there is a museum with the same name,
which is known for the great collection.
小・中学生は８月いっぱい入場無料
いいね
It is a good idea that children under the 9th grade
are admitted free until the end of August.
駅からプロムナードを通って砧公園へ
楽しい
I enjoyed walking along the pavement
called "Promnade" from Yoga station to
Kinuta Park.
誰だか知らないけど、短歌が道に
この上を踏んだり出来ない
Many tankas written by someone I never know
are engraved beautifully on the road.
I can't step on it.
みんな何故って聞くけど
私は公園が怖い
大きいほど、ひどい
誰か知ってる人が一緒にいてくれると
大丈夫だけど
一人で公園に行けない
Many people ask me why, but I am scared of
parks. The bigger, the worse.
It's Ok when someone I know is around,
but it's hard for me to be alone
in a park.
蝉がめっちゃ鳴いてた
私も大きな声を出したくなったけど
やつらはすぐ死んじゃうから
思いっきり鳴かせてあげようと思った
Cicadas were so loud.
They were shrilling like crazy.
Which made me want to shout back at them.
ah～～～～
but they can live only for a week,
so I let them shrill as much as they want to.
写真は綺麗だけど
私はやっぱり怖かった
Kinuta Park looks very nice in the pic,
but I was scared.
展示は素敵だった
ヴィンセントがわが町：東京に来てるんだから
会いに行かなきゃね
The exhibition was very good.
Vincent (Van Gosh) came to my town: Tokyo.
How can I not go to see him?
会うの２回目やね
前は、カリフォルニアのゲッティーセンターに
行った時
It was the second time to see him.
The last time was when I visited Getty Center
in California.
セクシーな彫刻
モデルの人に会いたい。へっへっへ。
Look at the sexy statue.
I want to see the model. he he he.
りっぱな百日紅
It's a Sarusuberi tree.
Literally a monkey slide.
They say a crape myrtle in English.
(I didn't know that until I checked in the
dictionary a few minutes ago.)
帰り、猫がいた
首輪ないし、地域猫だね。
こんなにそばによっても逃げないし。
On the way back,
I found a cat.
It doesn't have a collar, so I guess
it is a local cat. It didn't run away
when I got this close.
また猫が
このコは、このすぐ後で蝉を
うまく捕まえました
Another cat.
It successfully captured the cicada
on the tree soon after this.
猫嫌いの人もいるけど、
一匹も猫がいない町なんて、寂しいな
Some people loath cats,
but I feel lonely
if we don't see any cats in town.
このプロムナードには、
あちこちに、ちょっと沖縄ぽいものが
あります。
Nice bench, isn't it?
I like it.
There are several things
which remind me of Okinawa
on this "promnade".
