The Thursday before last, Vivian san and I went sightseeing to Fukui prefecture.
先々週の木曜日、ビビアンさんとわたしは福井県に観光に行った。
On the first day, we visited Tojinbou, and on the second day, we visited Eiheiji and Ichijodani Asakura iseki.
初日は東尋坊を、2日目は永平寺と一乗谷朝倉遺跡を訪れた。
Hokuriku Shinkansen line was extended to Tsuruga this March, so I had wanted to go to Fukui by Shinkansen.
北陸新幹線はこの3月敦賀まで延長された、だから私は福井に新幹線で行きたいと思っていた。
First, we started at Takasaki station, and changed the line at Nagano and Toyama station, and went to Awara Onsen station in Fukui.
まず、高崎駅を出発し長野と富山駅で乗り換え福井の芦原温泉駅まで行った。
It took two hours and forty seven minutes.
2時間47分かかった。
The next day, after sightseeing, we took the Shinkansen from Fukui station and changed the line at Nagano station and came back.
次の日観光の後、私たちは福井駅から新幹線に乗り、長野駅で乗り換え戻ってきた。
It took two hours and forty five minutes.
2時間45分かかった。
I felt that Fukui was not so far from Takasaki.
私は福井は高崎からそんなに遠くないと感じた。
But if Shinkansen Kagayaki could stop at Takasaki, we could go to Fukui much faster without changing the line.
もし、新幹線かがやきが高崎に停まることが出来たなら、私たちは乗り換え無しで福井までもっと速く行くことが出来る。
Tojinbou has a lot of cliffs.
東尋坊には沢山の崖がある。
We saw them from the sightseeing boat.
私たちはそれらを観光船から眺めた。
It was the first time for me to go to Eiheiji.
永平寺を訪ねるのは私は初めてだった。
It had a solemn atmosphere and made me feel calm.
そこは荘厳な雰囲気があり、私を穏やかな気持ちにさせた。
Ichijodani Asakura Iseki is called the Japanese Ponpei.
一乗谷朝倉遺跡は日本のポンペイと言われている。
I was very surprised that a row of houses and streets in Sengoku period were sleeping for about four hundred years.
私は戦国時代の町並みが400年余り眠っていたということに、とてもビックリした。
I didn't know about this place or its history.
私はこの場所やその歴史について知らなかった。
Both days were good but very hot.
2日間とも良い日だったが、とても暑かった。
This time, Vivian san found out all the train and bus schedules.
今回、ビビアンさんはすべての電車やバスの予定を調べてくれた。
Thanks to her, I was able to have a enjoyable trip.
彼女のお陰で、私は楽しい旅行をすることが出来た。
I really appreciate all that she did.
