大谷翔平の賭博疑惑に於ける日米の常識の差

　大谷翔平の問題で、水原氏が大谷投手の銀行口座から多額のお金を引き出したという事について、米国では疑念を持つ人が多いようである。
　大谷投手の関与がなく送金するにしては、余りにも金額が大きいので、大谷投手は虚偽の発言をしているのではないかという事である。

　しかしながら、私の考えでは、そもそも大谷投手にはお金に対する興味はなく、自身の口座をチェックする習慣もないだろう。彼は野球に集中しているのである。したがって、お金に関する事は水原氏に殆ど任されていたという事だろう。

　こうした状態は日本人には容易に想像できるが、アメリカ人には、容易に想像出来ないのだろう。

　Many people in the United States seem to have doubts about the fact that Mr. Mizuhara withdrew a large amount of money from pitcher Ohtani's bank account regarding the Shohei Ohtani issue.
　Since the amount of money was too large to be transferred without Ohtani's involvement, it is suspected that Ohtani was making false statements.

　However, in my opinion, pitcher Ohtani has no interest in money and probably doesn't have the habit of checking his own bank account. He is concentrating on baseball. Therefore, it seems that most matters related to money were left to Mr. Mizuhara.

　Japanese people can easily imagine this situation, but Americans may not be able to imagine it easily.

　エンジェルスのポストシーズン参戦に暗雲が垂れ込めている。そんな中で大谷が健闘しているが、反撃が始まる時は大谷が口火を切る例が多いように感じられるのは私だけではあるまい。
　例えば、７月１５日のアストロズ戦で、守護神プレスリーからホームランを打ち、終盤の３点差の逆転に成功し勝利した例がある。他にも沢山の事例があるが、ここでは省略する。

　大谷選手の評価として、レベルの高い投打の二刀流と走力が取り上げられる事が多いが、タイトルにあるように、反撃が大谷から始まる事が多く、打開力とでもいうべき凄さがあるように思う。
　大谷選手が日本でプレーしていた時に、同様の事を野球解説者が話していた事を付記しておく。

　久保選手の活躍が目覚しい。古巣のマドリードとの試合でも勝利に貢献したという。先日のオサスナ戦では途中出場で得点を上げ、MOMにも選ばれた。
　優秀な選手を温存し、後半戦にぶつけるアルグアシル監督の采配をみて、一つの故事を思い出した。

　古代中国で孫臏という兵法家がいたが、彼が仕えた将軍が３台で３回行う競馬の賭けで負ける様をみて助言した。
　「下馬、中馬、上馬の戦う相手を変えれば良いのです。相手の上馬に当方の下馬を、相手の下馬に当方の中馬を、そして相手の中馬に当方の上馬をぶつけなさい。そうすれば、２勝１敗で賭けに勝つことができます」

　サッカーでは、後半戦になると疲労で選手の動きが悪くなると言われている。このような時に、フレッシュで優秀な久保のような選手を投入すれば、上記の故事のような状態になるだろう。ソシエダのアルグアシル監督もこれを狙ったに違いない。
　この方法にはリスクもあるが、優秀な選手の疲労を抑え、有効に使うという大きなメリットがある。

　Kubo's performance is remarkable. It is said that he contributed to the victory in the match against his old club Madrid. In the match against Osasuna the other day, he scored as a substitute and was selected as MOM.

　ソシエダに移籍してからの久保の活躍が目覚しい。私はサッカーを観るようになって未だ間もないが、久保選手はイニエスタやペドリ、ダビド・シルバと同じ部類の選手ではないかと思う。

　サッカーチームには様々なスタイルがあるのだろうが、優れた司令塔がいるチームは、勝つ確率が高くなる筈だ。優れた司令塔には、基本的な運動能力は当然だが、パスの正確性、全体の把握、状況判断、敵・味方の選手の特性把握等、多くの事が求められる。久保選手は技術に優れた一選手と言うよりも、どのようにすれば勝利に導けるかという現場の指揮官という稀な存在になりつつあるのではないか。

What I thought when I saw Takefusa Kubo's match
　Kubo's success since moving to Sociedad is remarkable. I've only been watching football for a short time, but I think Kubo is in the same category as Iniesta, Pedri and David Silva.

　There may be many different styles of football teams, but a team with a good playmaker should have a better chance of winning. A good playmaker is naturally required to have basic athletic ability, but many other things are required, such as accuracy of passing, understanding of the whole situation, judgment of the situation, and understanding of the characteristics of opponents and teammates. Rather than saying that Kubo is a player with excellent technique, it seems that he is becoming a rare presence as a playmaker in the field, who knows how to lead the team to victory.

　野球ファンではなかった私が、大谷選手のお陰で野球をよく見るようになった。というより、エンゼルスの試合をよく見るようになったと言った方が適切だろう。　
　エンゼルスは、ポストシーズンに残れなかったので、今では大谷ロスの状態になっている。大谷の活躍にも拘らず、負け越したエンゼルスの試合を見ていて思う事が幾つかあるので書く事にする。

（１）選手の育成や使い方に問題があるのでは？
　選手は機械ではない。特にピッチャーの起用の仕方や起用のタイミングに問題があるような気がする。エンゼルスから他球団に移籍して活躍する選手が多いように思える。イグレシアスやシンダーガード等が移籍して生き返ったように活躍しているのは何故か？
　もしかしたら、一部に選手を潰しているような部分があるかも知れない。

（２）勝つ気があるのかと思える時がある
　優れたピッチャーでも、疲れさせれば球威も落ちるし、制球力も落ちてくる。相手投手を弱らすどころか、簡単にアウトになって、調子に乗せるような場面を見るのが辛い。プロかと思うような稚拙な守備や、１点欲しいところなのに、バントの選択を選手に任せるのは、どうしたことか？

（３）大谷はFA権を行使して他球団に移籍するか？
　上記が正しいとするなら、エンゼルスが勝ち越す事が出来ないのは、選手の問題と言うより、エンゼルスの体質や組織風土の問題と捉えた方が良い様に思える。そうだとすると、良い選手を補充できたとしても、ポストシーズンに残れるチームになるのは難しい。大谷ロスを避けたい私としては、ポストシーズンに残れる他球団に移籍して欲しい。
　しかしながら、大谷選手は、移籍を潔しとしないかも知れない。エンゼルスをトラウトと共に、立て直していくということも良いかも知れない。

I want to say many and various things about the Angels (from Ohtani fan)
　I wasn't a baseball fan, but thanks to Ohtani, I started watching baseball a lot. Rather, it would be more appropriate to say that I started watching more Angels games.
　I am now in the state of Ohtani loss because The Angels didn't make it to the postseason. In spite of Ohtani's activity, watching the Angels game made me think of a few things, so I'll write them down.

(1) Is there a problem with training and how to use players?
　Players are not machines. In particular, I feel that there is a problem with how to appoint a pitcher and the timing of appointing. It seems that there are many players who are active after transferring from the Angels to other teams. Why is it that Iglesias and Syndergaard are active as if they were transferred and revived?
　Maybe there is a part that is crushing the players in part.

(2) There are times when I wonder if they have the will to win.
　Even a good pitcher will lose power and control if he gets tired. Far from weakening the opponent pitcher, it's bitter to see a scene where players easily are declared out and draw on the opponent pitcher. What's wrong with leaving the choice of bunt to the player even though the defense is so poor that you think it's not a professional, and you want one point?

(3) Will Ohtani exercise his FA rights and transfer to another team?
　If the above is correct, the reason why the Angels can't win is more a problem of the Angels' constitution and organizational culture than a player's problem. If that's the case, even with good recruits, it's hard to be a team that can stay in the postseason. As I want to avoid Ohtani Ross, I want him to transfer to another team that can remain in the postseason.
　However, Ohtani may not feel good the transfer. It may be good for him to rebuild the Angels with Trout.
