METRO店AYA帰国送別会

先日メトロ店AYAの送別会のため

スタッフと共にプノンペンというレストランに行ってきました。

スカイトレインのメインストリートサイエンスワールド駅で降り

歩いて10分ほどチャイナタウン方面に向かうとあります。

ベトナム辺りの料理だそうで

ここの鳥のから揚げがうまいと評判らしく行ってみました。

 

店内は満席で待っているお客さんも10人以上いてすごい活気。

注文してそれほど待たずに続々と運ばれてくる料理に皆大興奮

For our staff member, AYA, we held a farewell
dinner at a restaurant called "Punonpen".
Its a 10minute walk towards china town
after getting off the main st skytrain station.
It was a vietnamese style restaurant.
We decided to go there because we heard that
the deep fried chicken here was very good.
Inside the energy was high and it was
completly packed with customers.
There were about 10people in line waitting.
It didnt take long for all our food to arrive
after ordering. We were soo excited.

チャーハンもから揚げも他のメニューも全部美味し～
The fried rice, the chicken, and everything
from the menu was soo good.

食べるのに夢中で写真もぶれています。

送別会という目的を忘れるくらい皆

食事に夢中でした。

 The food was so good the camera was shaking.
We were so focused on the food we almost
forgot that it was a farewell party.

スケートボード

 

バンクーバーでは沢山のスケートボーダーを見かけます。

あんなにスムーズに乗りこなせたら気持ちいいだろうなと思い、ちょっと試してみました。

スタジアム駅近くのスケートボードパークに行ってみました

何人か練習していて、さすがみんな自在にボードを操っていて、すごく簡単そうに見えました。

There lots of skateboarders in Vancouver.
I decided to give it a try because I thought
it must feel so good to be able to ride so smoothly.
I went to the skate park under the stadium skytrain station.
Some people were practicing. They were riding there
boards so smoothly making it look so easy.

地面の滑りがとてもスムーズでした。

そして転びました。

思ったより難しく地道な練習が必要だと実感しました。

夏の太陽の下でさっそうと滑ってる自分を想像しながらイメトレします。

 
The ground was very smooth...
And i fell.

I realized that its harder then it looks. It would take quite alot of practice to be able to ride it. I'll do some image trainning of myself riding joyfully in the summer sun.

metro店ZENです。

昨日バンクーバーの有名なマラソン大会の一つSUN RUNに参加しました。

SUN RUNは毎年開かれる１０キロマラソンの男女混合の大会です。

今年は参加人数4万8千人。

ボストンマラソンのテロのすぐ後の大会でもあり

セキュリティ面でも注目されていました。

多くの参加者がボストンマラソンの青と黄色の服を着ていて、

テロの被害にあってしまった方々へのメッセージを自分の服へ載せていました。

あらためてテロにより亡くなられた方々のご冥福をお祈りするとともに

深刻な傷を負った方々が早く復帰できることを願っています。

 

大会の順位については

娘との参加だったので途中歩いたので気にせず終わりましたが

天気も良く気持ち良かったです。

This is Zen from the metrotown branch.
Yesterday I participated in Vancouvers famous SUN RUN.
The SUN RUN is a 10km marathon
held in vancouver every year.
This year the number of participants were 48,000.
It was an event right after the Boston marathon
terrorist attack so security was heavy.
Alot of people were wearing blue and yellow to support the
people who were affected by the boston marathon.
People wore shirts with messages to the people who lost their loved ones in the attack.

I participated with my daughter.
We had a nice relaxing stroll together in the nice weather.

こういう平和な大会が毎年無事に開催されてほしいですね。

 I wish events like this could happen every year peacefully.

We held a little interview

　１、美容師になったきっかけはなんですか？
Why did you decide to become a hairstylist?　　　　

　　　高校の時に校則が厳しく、何とか短くせずにやり過ごそうと
　　　友達の髪を切っていて、いいなと思いました。
My highschool regulations for hair length was pretty strict.
I used to cut my friends hair to barly make the regulations

２、美容師として心掛けている事はなんですか？
What do you focus on as a hairstlist?

　　　なるべく長持ちさせて、頻繁にカットをしなくてもいいように、
　　　丁寧にする事です。
to make styles that last longer. I try to be as precise and tidy as possible

３、日本で働いていた時との違いはなんですか？
What is the difference from working in Japan？

　　　刈り上げのニーズがとても多いことと、髪質の違い。
Short cuts seems to be more in demand here. 
Also the difference in hair types

４、カナダで働いていて驚いた事はありますか
Working here in Canada, what suprised you?

　　　この時期は日が長いせいもあるけど、仕事後に自分の時間が
　　　もてる事です。
It may be because the days are long, but I seem to have so much more time for myself after work

５、バンクーバーのおすすめはなんですか？|
What do you recommend in Vancouver?
　　　　来たばかりなので、これからいろいろな所に行たいです
I still just recently got here so I plan to explore vancouver more soon

こんにちは。

四月に入ってまた雨が多くなってきましたが

先月は本当に天気が良かったですね。

気分転換にCypressのHollyburn　Peakへ行ってきました。

Entering April, it seems like its rainning more, but
last month was suuper sunny.
I went to Hollyburn peak at cypress mountain to feel rejuvenated.

今回はさすがにきれいな景色が見れて満足でした。
This time I got to see alot more Blue.

桜

METRO店SHINGOです。

バンクーバーも暖かくなり晴れている時は

とても気持ち良く過ごしやすくなってきました。

 

日本より少し遅れてバンクーバーも桜がとてもきれいに咲き始めました。

春に桜を見ることができるとなんだか心がなごみますね。

 

長く住んでいるスタッフに聞いた話ではバンクーバーの桜は

1か月ほど咲いているそうです。

気候が穏やかだからでしょうか、不思議です。

 

 

お店の方も暖かくなり寒い時期髪を伸ばしていたお客様が

大きくスタイルチェンジしたり、

髪の色を明るくされるお客様が増えてきて活気が出てきました。

春の色鮮やかな花を見ていると気持ちが明るくなるように

髪の色も少し変えるだけで明るい気持ちになったり、リフレッシュできますね。

 

今月のプロモーションはカットとカラーで＄２０オフ。

この機会に気分転換にカラーリングを試されてはいかがでしょうか

Spring is aproaching and when its warm,
vancouver is such a nice place to be.

A little behind from the climate of Japan, recently the cherry blossoms were blossoming through out the city.
Its nice to be able to experience cherry blossoms during spring.

When I talk to the staff that has been in Vancouver for along time, they say that cherry blossoms here last for about a month.
Maybe its because of the nice relaxed climate. Its very fascinating.

There are changes in the salon aswell.
because the wheather is getting warmer, customers who were growing out there hair are getting sudden style changes.
There are also alot of customers coloring their hair with warmer tones.
By changing your hair color with the season, you get to feel the change of time and feel very refreshed.
