富士見台 JA/NN-092 SOTA運用

10月30日の日曜日に阿智村の富士見台1,739mJA/NN-092へSOTA運用に行った。
On Sunday, October 30th, we went to Fujimidai Kogen 1,739m JA/NN-092 in Achi village for SOTA activation.

↓だいぶ観光地化が進んで、コンクリート舗装が増えた。

↓神坂小屋のトイレは11月から閉鎖と書かれているが、既に閉まっていた。

↑Infomation sed "Misaka hut's toilet was closed from November", but already closed.

↓右奥に山頂近くが見えて来た。

↑Near the top of the mountain can be seen in the back right.

↓山頂到着。今年は37分で多少タイム短縮。

↑Arrive at the summit. This year, the time was shortened to 37min..

↓昨年迄運用した場所は壊れた杭が無くなり綺麗な看板が立っていた。

↑At the site where we operated until last year, the broken stakes were replaced with beautiful signboards.

↓さすがに看板前ではヒンシュクなので、少し戻って道の脇に無線機設置。

↑As expected, the operation in front of the signboard was frowned upon, so I went back a little and prepared the radio.

先行局のNDTさん、GPYさんとS2S後、14MHzからCQ開始。
After S2S with NDT-san and GPY-san, CQ started from 14MHz.

国内も開けている様で、国内3,7エリアと、北米からコールされる。
JA is opened, and calls from areas 3 and 7 in JA. And call from North America.

18MHzにQSYする。
QSY to 18MHz.

RBNには引っ掛かるが、CQは空振り。
RBN catches me, but CQ was no answer.

21MHzにQSYする時に、TWでFRE局から、今日は北米局が強いとの情報。
When I QSY to 21MHz, FRE-san sed on TW that the North American station is strong.

聞いてみるとしっかり聞こえる。北米局2局とS2SQSO。
It sounds solid when I listen to it. Then 2-S2SQSO with North American stations.

オーストラリア、ニュージーからもコール。今日は21MHzが開けている様だ。
Also called from Australia and New Zealand. 21MHz CONDX was opened today.

7MHzにQSY。国内0,1,2,3,7エリアとQSO。
QSY to 7MHz. QSO with domestic 0,1,2,3,7 areas.

Xは2mのHB9CVを上げて11局程QSOしたらしい。

↓お昼近くなったので、お湯を沸かしてお昼ご飯。

食べ終えるてから、Xは7MHzCWでCQを出す。
After finishing eating, XYL CQ on 7MHz/CW.

今日はいつも見たくパイルにならないで、ポツポツと呼ばれる。
Today it won't be piled up, and it will be called little by little.

初心者には丁度良いペース。
A good pace for CW beginners.

それでも20分かけて10局程とCWでQSO。
Still, QSO on CW with 10-QSO in 20 minutes.

13時近くなったので、そろそろ撤収。
It was close to 13:00, so we withdrew.

今日もそれ程寒くなく、丁度いい位のお天気だった。
It wasn't that cold today, and the WX was just right.

思いのほか良く晴れていたので、少し日焼けした。
I got a little sunburned because the WX was better than I expected.

今日は5Wで北米とS2S出来て中々良いコンディションだった。
Today I can S2S-QSO with North America only 5W, so the CONDX was good.

1/4λのワイヤーアンテナも効果が有ったのかな？
Did a 1/4λ wire antenna also have an effect?

2022.10.30 (10/31 UP)

長者山 JA/NN-172 SOTA運用

10月22日の土曜日に、長野市鬼無里の一夜山へ向かったが、通行止めで急遽、長野市信州新町の長者山1,160mJA/NN-172へSOTA運用に出かけた。
On Saturday, October 22nd, I headed to Mt. Ichiyasan in Kinasa, Nagano City, but due to road closures, I hurriedly went to Chojayama 1,160m JA/NN-172 in Shinshu Shinmachi, Nagano City for SOTA activation.

↓一夜山JA/NN-222に向けて出かけたが、途中で通行止め。

↑I went to Mt. Ichiyasan JA/NN-222, but the road was closed on the way.

急遽、行き先を長者山に変更。
The destination was changed to Chojayama.

直線距離では20km未満なので選んだが、ナビでは2時間近くと意外に遠い！
I chose it less than 20km in a straight, but it's far about 2 hours by navi !

↓ブレーキがフェードしないレベルで頑張って1時間20分程で登山口到着。

↑I drove my best and arrived at the trailhead in about 1:20.

長者山森林学校の建物だが、2年前には無かった一斗缶が積んであるので、短期での使用が有るのだろうか？
The Chojayama Forestry School building is loaded with 18-liter cans that weren't there two years ago, so will it be used for a short period of time?

ちなみに、今回建物の裏手にトイレが有る事を発見。
By the way, I discovered that there is a toilet behind the building this time.

↓準備して林道を登り始める。

↑Get ready and start climbing the forest road.

↓もう少し上まで車で登れそうな道だが、直ぐに深いわだちが出て来る。

↑The road looks like it can be climbed a little higher by car, but deep ruts appear soon.

地理院地図の登山道とは少し異り、林道は２～３回ヘアピンを経て登山道分岐点へ。
Unlike the map, the forest road goes through 2 or 3 hairpins before the fork to mountain trail.

↓分岐点の看板、山頂100mの方向に従い、左手のピンテのある方の登山道を進む。

↓すぐに山頂到着。北アルプスが目の前に！ここまで30分程。

↓早速、無線機を準備。V/Uは少し離れてステーを張ってホイップを上げた。

↑Prepare the radio.

今回も不調のKX2は未修理に付き、FT-817＋ATUで出る。
KX2 is not repaired, so FT-817 + ATU is used.

先ずは既にオンエア中の局とS2S-QSOの後、14MHzからCQ。
First, after S2S-QSO with a station already on air, CQ from 14MHz.

こちらは、台湾からのコールのみ。
This is only for calls from Taiwan.

18MHzにQSY。北米のDARRYLさんからコール。
QSY to 18MHz. A call from DRRYL in North America.

21MHzでは、ニュージー、北米、オーストラリアからコール。
At 21MHz calls from New Zealand, North America and Australia.

7MHzのCQは、Xに任せるとして、私はもっぱらS2Sを追っかける。
As for the 7MHz CQ, I will leave it to XYL, and I will focus on S2S.

↓V/Uは片づけた写真だが、HFのアンテナはこんな感じで東屋に縛り付けた。

今日はV/UのアンテナをHFと近づけすぎたせいか、XのVX3にCWが受かるらしい。
HF/CW interferes to XYL's VX-3, may be the V/U ANT is close to the HF.

XはVX-3に直接RH-770を付けて、少し離れてFMで5-QSO。
Attached RH-770 directly to VX-3 and a little away. She 5-QSO on FM.

その後、Xが7MHz/CWでCQを出す。11局程交信。
After that, XYL called CQ at 7MHz/CW. She QSO with 11 stations.

お湯を沸かして、お昼ご飯を食べて、暫らくS2S待ち＆QSOをしてから撤収。
We boiled water, ate lunch, waited for S2S-QSO for a while, then withdrew.

↓荷物を片付けて下山開始。

↓無事に車まで帰着。

今日は活性委員会で、一斉移動していた為、S2Sが沢山出来た。
Today, the SOTA Activation Committee moved, so we could 21 S2S-QSOs.

2022.10.22 (10/24 UP)

鹿嶺高原 JA/NN-215 SOTA運用

10月16日日曜日に伊那市にある、鹿嶺高原へSOTA運用に行った。今回はXは山の会でキノコ狩りなので一人でのアクティベーションだ。
On Sunday, October 16th, I went to Karei Kogen in Ina City for SOTA activation. This time, XYL participated to mushroom hunting with friends of her mountain club, so it's a solo activation.

↓まだ暗い内に駐車場到着。準備をして明るくなった所でスタート。

↑I arrived while it was still dark. Get ready and start when it's bright.

↓最初は舗装の林道を進む。

↑At first, go on a paved forest road.

↓すぐ先には月見平キャンプサイト

↓ここから砂利の林道。ここは雷鳥荘利用者の駐車場。

↓少し登ると比較的平らなコースになる。この辺りはもうアクティベーションゾーンだ。

↓さっそく無線機を準備。KX2が不調なので今日はFT-817。

14MHzからCQ。台湾と韓国からコール。国内も少し開けて/4局ともQSO。
CQ from 14MHz. Call from Taiwan and South Korea.

18MHzにQSY。北米からのコール。
QSY to 18MHz. Call from North America.

21MHzにQSY。こちらでは、ニュージーと北米からのコール。
QSY to 21MHz. Calls from New Zealand and North America.

7MHzに移ると、国内向けに9時前と後に2回程運用。
QSY to 7MHz. Operated twice before and after 9 o'clock for JA chasers.

TWで28MHzでNA/SAが開けてると情報。28MHzでCQもNA/SAの応答は無し。
According to TW info., 28MHz open NA/SA, so CQ, but no NA/SA call.

念の為24MHzにでるも、DXは無し。
QSY to 24MHz just in case. No DX here.

↓一通り運用が終わった所で、少し早いがお昼ご飯にする。

↑At the end of the operation, it's a little early, but let's have lunch.

お昼を食べながらS2S待ち。数局S2S-QSOをするも、FT-817は電池切れ。
I waited for S2S while eating, and made several S2Ss, but FT-817 battery ran out .

最近スマホの電池の寿命が短くなったので、途中で充電したのが悪かったか、はたまた普段出ない24/28MHzで空振りCQが効いたか、久々にバッテリー切れだ。普段はKX2なので、FT-817の電流消費が多いのも一因だろう。DJ-G7も有るには有るが、ここではどうも感度抑圧を受けている感じである。

Is it because I charged my smartphone? Or is it because of the 24/28MHz CQ that doesn't usually use? It's been a long time since I ran out of battery. I usually use the KX2, so the FT-817 consumes a lot of current, which is probably one of the reasons. There is also the DJ-G7, but it seems to be RX sensitivity suppression here.

↓仕方がないので撤収して、下山開始。

↑Since there is no choice, I withdraw and start descending.

↓下山途中で変わったキノコ発見。後でXに聞くと「カワラ茸」だそうだ。

↓さらに良く判らないキノコ発見。ここはキノコが多かったとX談。

↓雷鳥荘まで戻ると、今年新しく展望台が出来ていた。

久しぶりに電池切れとなった今回のアクティベーション。どうせ荷物は14kgも有るのだから、バッテリー4本200g位増えても今更だったのに、、、次からは予備を必ず持参しよう、、、、

This activation has run out of battery for the first time in a while. Zack's luggage weighs 14kg, so even with 4 batteries/200g more, it didn't change much, so next time I'll bring a spare...

2022.10.16 (10/17 UP)

八幡平 JA/IT-005 SOTA運用

10月9日の日曜日に、Xの実家から、岩手県境の八幡平1,613m JA/IT-005 へ行ってSOTA運用をしてきた。
On Sunday, October 9th, we went from XYL's parents' house to Hachimantai 1,613m JA/IT-005 on the border of Iwate prefecture for SOTA activation.

↓下の駐車場から。山頂はガスってる！

↓ここは普通の観光の服装でも上がれる。路面も石畳舗装？になっている。

↓直進は直接山頂へ。左はいくつかの沼を回る。左から回る事に。

↓30分程で山頂の展望台到着。

↓山頂展望台は狭く人が沢山来そうなので、ガマ沼まで下って来る。

ここは携帯のアンテナが１～２本立っているのに、中々SPOT出来ない。

何とか14MHzでSPOTしてCQ開始。
Barely SPOT at 14MHz and CQ started.

国内Esが出てる様で、国内の3,4,7,9エリアから呼ばれる。韓国からもコール。
Es is opened, so called from 3, 4, 7, 9 areas in JA. Also called from Korea.

この後、18MHzにQSYするが、SPOTが全く上げられなくなる。
After this, I QSY to 18MHz, but I can't send SPOT at all.

仕方なく、RBNに捕まるまでCQを出す。
I had no choice but to CQs until I was caught by RBN.

なんとかRBNに捕まり自動SPOTが上がる。
Somehow caught by RBN and automatic SPOT uped.

こちらも国内Esが出てるのか、5,0エリアからコール。また、北米からもコールされた。
Called from the 5,0 area. Es also opened JA. And called from North America.

↓21MHzに行こうとするが、KX2の調子が悪くなり、FT-817に交代。

↑ I tried to QSY to 21MHz, but the KX2 got worse, so I switched to FT-817.

相変わらずセルフSPOT出来ず、21MHzはRBNにも捕まらず坊主。
I can't self-spot yet, and 21MHz hasn't been caught by RBN, so I was 0-QSO.

天気は曇り空で、お日様が当たらず、寒い。
The weather is cloudy and the sun doesn't shine, so it's cold.

↓気温は11時過ぎで5.6度。

↑The temperature is 5.6 degrees after 11 o'clock.

さらに沼の淵なので結構風が吹いて体感温度はかなり寒い。
Furthermore, since it is the edge of the swamp, the wind blows quite a bit and the sensible temperature is quite cold.

ここまでXの方はV/Uで2局のみ。
Up to this point, XYL is only 2-QSOs on V/U band.

寒いので余り長居できそうにないので、7MHzはXに任せる事に。
We can't stay long because it's cold, so XYL operates 7MHz/CW.

相変わらず、SPOTが上げられないが、RBNに拾われて無事に自動SPOT。
SPOT is still not sent, but picked up by RBN and automatically SPOTed.

おかげでXは7MHz/CWで11局ほどQSO。
Therefore, XYL QSO 11 stations at 7MHz/CW.

いつもは、他局のSPOTをみてS2Sを狙うが、今日は他局のSPOTも全く受からない。
I usually aim for S2S by looking at other station's SPOT, but today can't get any other SPOT.

そんな訳で、寒いのもあり、コールが途切れた所で早々に撤収・下山する。
For that reason, it was cold, and when the call was stopped, we withdrew and descended.

↓下山途中の八幡沼。沼が一杯だ。下山は先ほどの直進側のルートで降りる。

↓降りて来た所で、駐車場前の道は駐車場の空き待ちで渋滞。

↑When we got off, the road in front of the parking lot was congested waiting for an empty parking lot.

↓車まで戻る。駐車場は混んでるので、昼食を食べずに駐車場を出た。

↑Return to the car. The parking lot was crowded, so we left the parking lot without eating lunch.

↓帰りの道路沿い。まだ紅葉は色づき始めたばかり。

と言う事で、メジャー観光地の秋の八幡平でのアクティベーションを無事に終了した。
With that said, we finished the activation at Hachimantai in autumn, a major sightseeing spot.

2022.10.09 (10/14 UP)

温海岳 JA/YM-073 SOTA運用

10月8日土曜日、Xの実家に行くついでに山形の鶴岡市の温海岳736mJA/YM-073でSOTA運用をしてきた。
On Saturday, October 8th, while visiting XYL's parents' house, we activated SOTA JA/YM-073 Atsumidake in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata.

↓途中、何局か他のアクティベーションを車の中からチェイス。

↑On the way, some other activations were chased from inside the car.

↓ヤマレコでは山頂迄車で行けると書かれていたが、かなりひどい道だ！

↑Yama-reco says that you can drive to the top by car, but it's a bad road!

↓何とか山頂まで到着。車は山頂の少し手前迄入れた。

↑Somehow we reached the summit. Parked the car just before the summit.

↓山頂からは日本海も見える。

↑Can see the Sea of ​​Japan from the summit.

↓山頂に何やら建物。

↑There is a building on the top of the mountain.

↓中が神社になっているので、お参りしておく。

↑Since the inside is a shrine, so we prayed.

↓少し戻って、無線機を準備。ガスってきたので濡れない様にシートを掛ける。

↑Go back a little and prepare the radio. It's getting gas, so I put a sheet.

時間が遅く7MHzからスタート。CONDXは良く、国内5,6,8エリア以外とQSO。
Since the time is late, so start from 7MHz. JA CONDX is good.

ハイバンドに上がるが、DXの時間はもう終わっていて、14で国内1局のみ。
QSY to high bands, but the DX time was over, so only 1-QSO from JA.

XはV/Uで5局ほど。お昼ご飯を食べてから７MHzCWにでる。
XYL is 5-QSO at V/U-band. After eating lunch, she QSY to 7MHz/CW.

7MHzCWでは17局ほどQSOした様だ。

と言う訳で長距離移動途中のお山でのアクティベーション、無事完了。
