キャンプ de SOTA 陣馬形山 JA/NN-135

夏休みに入った8月7～8日の日曜から月曜に掛けて、陣馬形山 JA/NN-135 1,445mにてキャンプをしながらSOTA運用をしてきた。
During summer vacation from Sunday to Monday, August 7th to 8th, I did SOTA activation while camping at Jimbagatayama JA/NN-135 1,445m.

ここのキャンプ場は上から「360」、「空」、「森」の3サイトがある。一番下の「森」はアクティベーションゾーンギリギリで、場所を選ばないといけないが、それより上のサイトは全てアクティベーションゾーンに入っている。

The campsite here has three sites, from top to bottom, "360", "Sky", and "Forest". The bottom "forest" is the boundary of the activation zone, and you have to choose a place, but the other two sites are in the activation zone.

↓今回借りたのは、中段の「空」サイト。ここに4組ほどの設営だった。

ちなみに、予約は3か月前の25日からだが、申し込んだのは5月25日の午前中だったが、既に8月の土曜は埋まっていて、日曜にした次第である。

By the way, the reservation was made from the 25th, three months ago, but I applied in the morning of May 25th, but the Saturday in August was already full, so I made it to the Sunday.

値段は、ミドルシーズン価格でグループ5人まで、テント、タープ各一張りで3k円+入場料一人1k円。XYLと2人で合わせて5k円なり。結構するな。

The price is the middle season price, with a group of up to 5 people, 3k yen for each tent and tarp + 1k yen per person for admission. 5k yen for 2 people. It's a little expensive.

本来チェックインは13時以降、チェックアウトは12時まで。でも10時以降でサイトが空けばアーリーチェックインが可能だ。それを考慮して10時少し過ぎに到着。まだサイトは空いて無かったが、11時前には撤収されたので、「空」では一番乗りでの設営だ。

Check-in is after 13:00 and check-out is before 12:00. But if the site is open after 10:00, early check-in is possible. With that in mind, we arrived a little after 10:00. The site hadn't opened yet, but it had been taken down before 11:00, so I was the first to set it up in the sky.

↓無線がうるさいといけないので、一番奥のサイトを確保し、テントとタープを設営。

↓設営し終わった所で、少し早いお昼。この時間からビールが飲めるのが良いね。

↑After set-up, we ate lunch little early. It would be nice to be able to drink beer from this time.

↓お昼が終わったら、のんびりと無線機の準備。

3時過ぎに7MHzからスタート。国内は良く開けている様で、6、8以外全エリアとQSO。
14MHzにQSY。ニュージーとオーストラリアともQSO。
18MHz、21MHzではフランス局とQSO。
まだ時間が早く、DXはそこそこと言った感じだろうか。

Started at 7MHz after 3pm. It seems that Japan is open well, and QSO with all areas except 6 and 8.
QSY to 14MHz. QSO with New Zealand and Australia.
QSO with French station on 18MHz and 21MHz.
Time is still early, and I wonder if DX is so so.

ここは少し山頂から下がってる事も有り、V/Uはさっぱりで、XYLは2mで2局のみ。
7MHｚSSBで9局程QSO。でも今日は、電信デビュー予定のXYL。
どのバンドに出すかと考えたが、呼ばれすぎる7MHzは避け、ハイバンドにする。

It's a little lower than the summit, so the V/U was bad, so XYL was only 2QSOs.
9 QSOs on 7MHz SSB. But today is XYL, who is scheduled to CW debut.
I thought about which band would be better. I avoided 7MHz, which has a lot of calls, and chose the high band.

14MHzで15wpmで自動でPCからCQ。
自動CQを出していると、なんかいきなり「Ｊ」でも「7」でも始まらない局が来た！
R0AT局、なんとロシアだ。初CW-QSOがいきなりDX局か！ハードル高い！

CQ from PC automatically at 15wpm at 14MHz.
When she was CQing, suddenly a station that didn't start with "J" or "7" came!
R0AT, from Russia. The first CW-QSO is with a DX station! A high hurdle!

国内局ともQSOの後、18MHzへ行くと長野市ローカルの局からコール。
ほっと一息つきながら、CQを出しているとまたしてもロシア局からコール。
どちらもASロシアだが、本人はコールが理解できてないっぽい。

After QSO with JA, she QSY to 18MHz and got a call from a local station in Nagano City.
While taking a breather, she received a call from the other Russian station.
Both are AS Russia, but she doesn't seem to understand the call.

21MHzにQSY。北海道局と2局程QSOした後、「7」がCw-Skimmerで見える。
信号が弱くてなかなか7以外が判らず、「7？」を繰り返す。
JAの7で始まるコールかと思っていたら、なんとEA7GV局！スペインからだ！！
その後も、OK2PDT局チェコからのコールも！いきなりヨーロッパ局ですか！！
その後、国内の４、7エリア局とQSOしてこの日のXYLの初CW-CQは終了となった。

QSY to 21MHz. After two QSOs with Hokkaido, "7" can be seen on Cw-Skimmer.
Because the signal was weak, it was difficult to recognize anything other than 7, so she repeated "7?".
We thought it was a JA call starting with 7, but it call from EA7GV Spain! !
After that, OK2PDT calls from the Czech Republic! This time it's the European station! !
After that, she made QSOs with domestic 4th and 7th area stations.
With this, XYL's first CW-CQ finished.

初CWでDXしかもヨローッパ局、とかなりハードルの高いCQコールだった(;^_^A

It was a CQ call with a high hurdle, as it was the first CW but DX with a European station.



一旦無線機を片付けて、晩御飯の用意。焼き肉を用意し、プリムスの上にミニロースターを乗せて焼くが、風が強いのかもう一つ熱が伝わり切らない。

Put away the radio once and prepare for dinner. I prepared the grilled meat, put the mini roaster on top of the primus and grilled it, but the wind was so strong that the heat didn't get through.

諦めて、小さなフライパンを出してその上で焼き始めたが、暫くすると今度は風で火が消える。どうも、火力が落ちているみたいだ。また、穴が詰まったのだろうか？

Put away the radio once and prepare for dinner. I prepared the grilled meat, put the mini roaster on top of the primus and grilled it, but the wind was so strong that the heat didn't get through

ガスコンロを諦め、固形燃料を使ってみる。何とか風には耐えるが火力が弱い。

Give up the gas stove and try using solid fuel. It can withstand the wind somehow, but the firepower is weak.

↓少しづつ何とか焼いて晩御飯終了。

↑Grill little by little and finish dinner.

ご飯を食べ終えた頃には、すっかり周りは真っ暗になってしまった。
再び無線機をテーブルに乗せて21:30頃からハイバンドにでる。

By the time we finished dinner, it was completely dark.
Put the radio on the table again and CQ at the high band from around 21:30.

14MHzでは、スウェーデン、オランダ、フィンランドとQSO。
18MHzに移り、ルーマニア、オーストリア、ポーランド、ドイツ、フランス、スイスとQSO。
21MHzでは、オーストリア、チェコとQSO。
コンディションが良く、ヨーロッパ各国のチェイサ－さんに呼ばれた。

At 14MHz, QSO with Sweden, Holland and Finland.
QSY to 18MHz. QSO with Romania, Austria, Poland, Germany, France, Switzerland.
At 21MHz, QSO with Austria, Czech.
It was in good condition and was called by chasers from all over Europe.

と言う事で、11時過ぎにテントに入り眠った。

Around 11pm, I went to my tent and fell asleep.

翌早朝の4時に目が覚めたので、再び無線機に向かう。

I wakes up at AM4 in the morning and goes to the radio again.

↓外はガスっていた。

↑There was gas outside.

せっかく早朝に起きだしてCQを出したが、コンディションが悪い様で全く呼ばれない。
やっとの事で、長野市のローカル局に呼ばれた位だった。

I got up early in the morning and CQ calling, but the condition was bad, so I was not called at all.
At last, I was called by a local station in Nagano City.

諦めて、朝食を食べてる途中で、燕岳のAVMさん、VUJさんとS2S-QSO。

I gave up and ate breakfast. On the way, S2S-QSO with AVM-san and VUJ-san at Mt. Tsubakuro.

その後、7時半ごろからCQを再開。
14MHzでは西海岸と2局、18MHzではオーストラリア局とQSO出来た。
9時を回って、7MHzで国内局にNewdayでのサービス。

After that, CQ resumed around AM7:30.
I was able to QSO with two stations on the west coast on 14MHz and with an Australian station on 18MHz.
After 9 o'clock, Newday service to JA stations on 7MHz.

↓このころには外はすっかりガスが晴れていい天気。

↑By this time, the weather outside was completely sunny and nice.

10時近くなって、そろそろ撤収するかと、テントやタープを片付けて車に積み込む。
一通り片付けが終わって、チェックアウトした後、AWEさんとのS2Sの為駐車場に機材準備しようとしたが、アブやらブヨやら虫が多くて、展開できない。

Around 10 o'clock, we put away the tents and tarps and loaded them into the car.
After checking out, I tried to prepare the equipment in the parking lot for S2S with AWE-san, but I couldn't because there were so many bugs and gnats.

これで、AWEさん、BAPさんとS2S-QSOをして、キャンプ場を後にした。

After S2S-QSO with AWE-san and BAP-san, I left the campsite.

今回はキャンプ de SOTAと言う事で、夜中や早朝にオンエアしてみたが夜中は非常にコンディションが良く、ヨーロッパの初めての局からも沢山呼ばれた。早朝は残念ながら余りコンディションは良くなかったが、なかなか夜中や早朝に山頂から電波を出す機会がないので、今回は楽しかった。また来年も来たいな。

This time is Camp de SOTA, so I tried to on-air late night and early morning. The conditions were very good during the night, and I was called from many European 1st-QSO stations.
Unfortunately, the conditions was bad in the early morning, but I didn't have a chance to on-air from the summit late at night or early in the morning, so it was fun this time. I want to come again next year.

王ヶ頭JA/NN-067 SOTA運用

7月30日の日曜日に美ヶ原高原（王ヶ頭）JA/NN-067 2,034mへ登りSOTA運用を行ってきた。
On Sunday, July 30th, we climbed Utsukushigahara Kogen (Ohgatou) JA/NN-067 2,034m for SOTA activation.

14MHzから開始。国内Esが出てるようで、国内局のみ。

21MHzも国内Esは出てるが、ニュージーからコールが有った。
21MHz also opened Es, but there was a call from New Zealand.

7MHzは国内0,1,3,7,9エリアとQSO。
7MHz, QSO with JAs 0,1,3,7,9 area.

山頂では、時々雲が通過するので、それ程暑くなく丁度いい。
At the top of the mountain, clouds sometimes pass, so it's not so hot and just right.

XYLは、V/Uで8-QSO。その後7MHzSSBで6-QSO程。
XYL is 8-QSO on V/U. After that, about 6-QSO on 7MHzSSB.

↓東から積乱雲が迫って来たので撤収して下山した。

今回は一杯花が咲いていて、天気も良くて快適だった。

2022.7.30 (8/15 UP)

高館山 JA/YM-111 SOTA運用

秋田からの帰り道ちょっとだけルートを外れて、SOTA未アクティベートの山、鶴岡市の高館山 273m JA/YM-111でSOTA運用した。
A little off the way back from Akita, I activated the Takadateyama 273m JA/YM-111 in Tsuruoka City, this mountain where SOTA has not been activated.

↓山頂には、東屋が有る。

↑There is an pavilion on the summit.

↓さらに高い塔が有った。

↑It also had a taller tower.

こちらに登って窓から釣竿を出してアンテナを吊るして運用しようかと思ったが、良く下から見ると、どうも窓が開かない様に見えるので、釣竿を出せなさそうなので、塔に登るのは止めた。
I thought about climbing up here and sticking out a fishing rod from the window to hang the antenna, but when I looked at it from below, it looked like the window wouldn't open, so I couldn't pull out the fishing rod, so I stopped climbing the tower.

↓塔の入り口横には、森林浴の森100選、高館山自然休養林の石碑が有った。

↑Next to the entrance of the tower, there was a stone monument of Takadateyama Natural Recreation Forest, one of the 100 forest bathing forests.

↓トイレも完備されている。

↓雨が降りそうなので東屋の中に無線機を準備する。

いつもの様に14MHzからCQスタート。国内が開けて、1,3,8,9エリアから呼ばれるがDXは聞こえて来ない。
CQ start from 14MHz as usual. JA was opened and calls from areas 1, 3, 8, and 9, but no DX.

18MHzでは長野のローカル局とオーストラリアのイアンさんからコール。
On 18MHz, I got a call from a local station in Nagano and Ian-san from Australia.

21MHzにQSY。青森の山に移動のTedさんとS2SQSO。他に国内は1,6エリアからコール。
QSY to 21MHz. S2S-QSO with Ted-san moving to the mountain of Aomori. In addition, domestic calls are made from areas 1 and 6.

DXはニュージーのアンドレさんからコールが有った。
DX call from Andre-san of New Zealand.

7MHzにQSY。国内の0,1,7,9エリアから呼ばれた。
QSY to 7MHz. Called from 0, 1, 7, 9 areas in JA.

↓アンテナは東屋の土台と屋根に引き付ける様にひもで縛って釣竿を建てた。

↑The antenna was attached to the base and roof of the pavilion with string to attract the fishing rod.

秋田からの帰宅途中なので余り長居はせずに1時間ちょっとの運用で切り上げて、再び長野への帰途に就いた。
Since I was on my way home from Akita, I didn't stay too long, and finished the operation in just over an hour, and started the way back to Nagano again.

エプソン EP-707A 廃インクエラー 修理

長野に引っ越した時に買ったエプソンのEP-707A。既に7年近く使用しているが、今回3度目の「廃インクエラー」が出た。過去2回も同様に修理したのだが、ブログに載せてなかったので、毎回手順を書いているページを探してから始めるので面倒くさい。と言う事で自分のブログに手順をメモ的に残しておく事にした。
Epson EP-707A that I bought when I moved to Nagano. I have been using it for more than 7 years, but this time the third "waste ink error" came out. I've done the same repair twice in the past, but I didn't post it on my blog, so it's a hassle to start looking for the page that describes the procedure each time. So I decided to leave the procedure as a memo on my blog.

↓廃インクエラーの表示。電源オフしか出来なくなる。

↑Indication of waste ink error. You can only turn off the power.

↓先ずは、スキャナユニットを持ち上げて、前面パネルの裏側のネジを2個外す。

↑First, lift the scanner unit and remove the two screws behind the front panel.

↓前面パネルはケーブルをそのままに、上に外して乗っけて置く。赤四角の所を外す。

↑Leave the cables on the front panel as they are, remove it and place it on top. Remove the red square.

↓ネジを2本外すと上の写真の赤四角の所のカバーが取れる。

↑Remove two screws, you can remove the cover at the red square in the photo above.

↓廃インクタンクの前側のネジを外す。

↑Remove the screw on the front side of the waste ink tank.

↓廃インクタンクの下側のネジを外す。

↑Remove the screw on the bottom of the waste ink tank.

ネジの外れた前面の青矢印の突起を押し込むか、パネル側を前面側にこじって
↓持ち上げ、タンクを真っすぐ下に外す。(本当はネジは外れている状態になってる)

↑Push in the projection of the blue arrow on the front where the screw is removed, or pry the panel side to the front side and lift it, and remove the tank straight down.

この時、プリンタは水平にしたままタンクを外す事。今回私は外す時にタンクを何度か下から見る為にプリンタの前側を持ち上げたら、廃インクが裏に大量に流れ出て来た。
At this time, remove the tank while keeping the printer horizontal. This time, when I lifted the front of the printer to see the tank from below several times when removing it, a large amount of waste ink flowed out to the back.

↑既にほとんど拭き取った後なので余り大した事ない様に見えるが実際はかなり酷い事になった。
It looks like it's not a big deal because it's already wiped off most of it, but it actually turned out to be pretty terrible.

過去2回ではこんな事は無かったので、オリジナルのフエルトだったらこぼれなかったかも知れない。私のは過去2回とも汚れたフエルトを捨てて、コットンパフを詰め込んでいた為こぼれたのかもしれないが注意しておくに越した事は無い。
This has never happened the last two times, so maybe the original felt wouldn't have spilled. Mine may have spilled because I threw away the dirty felt both times in the past and stuffed it with cotton puffs, but it's better to be careful.

↓廃インクタンクの中の古いフエルト（今回はコットンパフ）を捨て、綺麗に水洗いする。

↑Throw away the old felt (cotton puff this time) in the waste ink tank and wash it thoroughly with water.

↓廃インクタンクの底面の形に合わせて下側を少し切りながらコットンパフを詰める。

↑Fill the bottom of the waste ink tank with cotton puffs while cutting a little along the bottom of the waste ink tank.

上側も廃インクの出口のノズルの部分を避ける様にカットする。
The upper side is also cut so as to avoid the nozzle portion of the waste ink outlet.

廃インクタンクを元通り取りつけて、カバーとパネルも元通り組み付ける。
Reinstall the waste ink tank, and reassemble the cover and panel.

ハード的には以上で終了。That's it for the hardware.
但し、内部フラッシュメモリの廃インクカウンターをリセットしないとエラーは消えない。
However, the error does not disappear unless the waste ink counter in the internal flash memory is reset.

メモリ上のカウンターをリセットする為に、今回はヤフオクで900円で売りに出ていた解除キーを使用しました。
過去は確かPayPalで10.17ドルを支払って、解除キーを入手した記憶が有るが、今回は円安なので、ヤフオクで安く売っている物を使用しました。
In order to reset the counter in memory, this time I used a release key that was on sale at Yahoo auction for 900 yen.
I remember paying $10.17 with PayPal in the past and getting the release key, but this time the yen was week, so I used a cheap one on Yahoo Auctions.

簡単に手順を書くと以下の通りです。（詳細は上の手順書参照願います）
Simply write the steps below: (For details, please refer to the procedure manual above.)
①DLしたソフトをインストールする。Install the downloaded software.
②USBケーブルでプリンタとPCを接続。Connect the printer and PC with a USB.
③ソフトを起動してリセットを掛ける。Start the software and reset it.

Wi-Fi接続器はWi-Fi接続のままでもOKと書かれていたが、フラッシュを書いている間に、リンクが落ちるといやだったのでUSBケーブルで接続しました。
It was written that the Wi-Fi connection device can be connected to Wi-Fi, but I didn't want the link to drop while I was writing the flash, so I connected it with a USB cable.

また、ソフト本体は1回目にインストした物がPCに残っていたので、2回目は新たにインストせずにそれを使って解除キーだけ新たに購入しました。
今回はヤフオク入手でちょっと微妙かなと思い、念の為ヤフオクの説明先からDLし再度インストールして使用しました。
Also, since the software itself was still on the PC after I installed it the first time, I didn't install it anew the second time and used it to purchase a new unlock key.
This time, I thought it was a bit subtle because I got it from Yahoo Auctions, so I downloaded it from the Yahoo Auctions explanation and installed it again just in case.

プリンタ購入当初は年賀状くらいしか使ってなかったので、せいぜい年間150枚位しか印刷していなかったのですが、2017年にアマチュア無線を再開局して、QSLカードを印刷する様になったので、これがいまでは年間2500枚位の印刷量になったので、1回目が3年8か月、2回目がそこから1年8か月、今回は1年4か月での廃インクエラーとなりました。ざっと3000枚のはがきカラー(光沢)印刷でエラーが出る感じでしょうか。
When I bought the printer, I was only using it for New Year's cards, so I was only printing about 150 cards a year at most. Now, the amount of printing is about 2500 sheets per year, so the first time was 4.7 years, the second time was 1.7 years after that, and this time it was 1.3 years. Roughly 3000 postcard color (glossy) printing seems to cause an error.

このEP-707A、さすがに購入6年8か月になるので、はがき印刷の光沢紙を取り込む時に上手く取り込めない事が有り、用紙を少し上に曲げてからセットするとか、使うのにだいぶコツがいる様になってしまいました。次の廃インクエラーが1.3年後だとして、それまでまだ無事に動いているだろうか、、、、、まあ、そろそろ買い替えてもバチは当たらないとは思いますが、、、
It's been seven and a half years since I bought this EP-707A. It seems that there are a lot of tricks to use, such as setting the paper after bending it slightly upwards.
Assuming the next waste ink error is 1.3 years later, will it still be working fine until then?
Well, I think it's time to buy a new one, but...

本山 JA/AT-072 SOTA運用

所用があって家内の実家の秋田に来たので、7月16日土曜に男鹿市の男鹿半島の本山 715mのJA/AT-072をSOTA運用してきた。
I came to my wife's parents' house in Akita, so on Saturday, July 16th, we activated JA/AT-072/715m Honzan at the Oga Peninsula in Oga City.

↓男鹿半島へ向かう道すがら、沢山の風力発電が並んでいた。

↑Along the way to the Oga Peninsula, there were many wind power plants lined up.

↓山頂の1km位手前で、鎖が張ってあり通行止め。

↑About 1km before the summit, the road is closed by a chain.

↓看板には7時まで夜間閉鎖と書かれているので、7時に開くまで待つ。

↑The signbord says it's closed at night until AM7:00, so wait until 7:00.

↓右には、『菅江真澄の道』となって本山に続く登山道が有った。

↑On the right, there was a sin of "Road of Sugae Masumi".

↓左後ろには『新奥の細道』なる看板と遊歩道が続いている。

↑There is a signboard for "New Oku no Hosomichi" and a promenade in the back left.

7時半まで待ったが、一向に開く気配がない。
We waited until 7:30, but there was no sign of opening.

連絡先の自衛隊の番号に掛けてみると今日は開かないそうだ。
When I called the Self-Defense Forces, they saed it will not open today.

↓登山靴もザックもないけど、機材一式を適当なカバンと袋に入れて歩く事に。

↑We don't have climbing shoes and the zack, so we put a radio set in a some bags and walk.

↓未舗装路はかなり幅の広い道路で、山頂には自衛隊のﾚｰﾀﾞｰサイトがみえる。

↑The gravel road is wide, and we can see the radar site of the Self-Defense Forces at the summit.

↓途中で山頂近くの赤神神社奥宮への登山口が有るが未舗装路をそのまま進む。

↑There is a trailhead near the summit on the way, but continue along the gravel road.

↓途中の道路から。青い海と空、向うのレーダーサイトも見える。

↑From the road on the way. We can see the blue sea and sky, and the radar site over there.

↓40分程で自衛隊の基地の入り口に到着。ゲートは閉まっててここ迄。

↑Arrived at the entrance of the Self-Defense Forces base in about 40 min.. The gate is closed.

既にアクティベーションゾーンに入っているので、途中の道路にテーブルと機材を展開して運用を始める。
Here is already in the act. zone, we prepare the radio on the road-side and start activation.

14MHzからCQスタート。国内が開けていて、1,2,3,4,6,7,9エリアからコール。
CQ start from 14MHz. Domestic is open, call from 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 area.

18MHzにQSY。こちらも国内、３、４エリアが開けている。
QSY to 18MHz. This is also open in domestic areas 3 and 4.

21MHzにQSYすると、長野ローカル局からコール。
QSY to 21MHz, call from Nagano local station.

7MHzでは、国内は、0,1,3,7エリアからのコール。
At 7MHz, domestic calls from areas 0, 1, 3, and 7.

途中から雨がパラついて来たので、7MHzCWは早々に切り上げた。
It started to rain, so I finished 7MHzCW early.

残念ながら、この日はDXからのコールは無かった。
Unfortunately, there was no call from DX today.

↓トンボが大量に飛んでいて、アンテナにもトンボが沢山止まっている。

↑A lot of dragonflies are flying, and many dragonflies are perched on the antenna.

ここは、海側が開けているが、陸側に開けていないので、XYLのV/Uは坊主。
Here, the sea side is open, but the land side is not open, so XYL was 0-QSO on V/U.

7MHz/SSBにて7局程QSOして規定数をなんとかクリア。
At 7MHz/SSB, she QSO with 7 stations and clear the norma.

赤神神社辺りだと陸側にも開けているだろうか？？
Is it open to the land side around Akagami Shrine?

時折小雨がパラつくので、急いで撤収して、歩いて車に戻る。
It rained occasionally, so we hurriedly withdrew and walked back to the car.

↓車に戻ると、何やら巡視中の看板を付けた車が止まっていた。

↑When we got back to the car, there was a car with a patrol sign on it.

特に何も言われなかったが、何を巡視しているんだろう、、、、
They didn't say anything in particular, but I wonder what they're patrolling...
