“Black neighborhoods are not safe,” Jackson insisted. “And it isn’t because of cops, it’s because of black teens. It’s because of black crime. So at some point, the reality hits you. If you’re running the gauntlet to get to work or to get to school, it’s not cops stopping you, it’s the people in your neighborhood.”

“You just said something I couldn’t say, that most people couldn’t,” Carlson noted. “We’re living in an age where you’re not allowed to say obvious things, and you kind of have to conform.”

Reasonable observers might conclude that it is the height of hypocrisy for the CCP to wage a global PR war over Japan’s views of history on the one hand, while on the other hand criminalizing a correct view of its own history



The CCP has long claimed credit for having tirelessly defended China from the Imperial Japanese army. This couldn’t be further from the truth, however. As I have noted elsewhere, Japan’s invasion of China saved the CCP from Chiang Kai-shek and the KMT, and ultimately allowed Mao to defeat the KMT in the ensuing civil war.


It’s one thing to try to suppress all information exposing the Party’s failings, which killed millions of Chinese, while demanding Japan take a correct view of history (which Tokyo should do). It’s another thing altogether to falsely claim credit for one of the defining moments of your country’s modern history.

In the first place, it is odd for South Korea to repeatedly bring a bilateral issue into the forum of the United Nations. If it wants to denounce sexual violence, how does South Korea explain its problems at home?

In June this year, South Korean former comfort women for U.S. troops sued their government for compensation, saying they were forced into prostitution in the 1960s and 70s. According to a group supporting those women, the South Korean government established special red-light districts for U.S. soldiers and managed those women.

Furthermore, South Korean troops dispatched to the Vietnam War reportedly fathered from 5,000 to 30,000 children with Vietnamese women and left them behind there.

Some of the children were born after their mothers served as prostitutes or were raped. One South Korean newspaper carried a column saying, “It is self-deception to insist on a pardon for our own violence while we tenaciously pursue Japan’s moral responsibility.”

South Korea should reflect on its own situation.

おもしろい記事

ミルサーは昨年１１月から今年３月にかけての「恋愛シーズン」の発情期以降、上位のオスが定位置とする切り株に座ったり、ときにはオスを威嚇したり。職員らを尻尾をあげて威嚇する、オスにみられる行為も取ってみせる。



　園は５月、ミルサーと当時の５位のオスとの間にピーナツを落とし、どちらが手にするか試してみた。ピーナツを取った方が上位というテストだ。２回ともピーナツを取ったのはミルサーで職員を驚かせた。

　いかなる財をどれだけ獲得できるか、によって、権力や地位が測られるわけですね。
