シリア行きを計画していた北大生は「そこには戦場があって、全く違う文化があって。イスラムという強大な宗教によって、民衆が考えて行動している。このフィクションの中に行けば、また違う発見があるかな。それくらい」と話した。
これは6日、「イスラム国」で戦闘に参加する私戦予備の疑いで、警視庁公安部の事情聴取を受けた北海道大学生(26)が、取材のため、一緒に渡航する予定だったフリージャーナリストのインタビューに答えたもの。
男は、この中で「義勇兵になれないなら、自殺すると思う。たとえシリアで死ぬことになっても同じことだ」と話していたという。
インタビューをしたジャーナリストの自宅も、6日、家宅捜索を受けていた。
フリージャーナリストの常岡浩介氏は「警視庁公安部捜査員7人が来まして、支度している機材を洗いざらい押収していった。『(北大生は)もしもシリアに行かないとしたら、ことし中か、来年にも、間違いなく自殺しているから、シリアで死ぬことになっても、全く変わりがありません』という言い方をしていた」と話した。

　中東の過激派組織「イスラム国」をめぐる私戦予備・陰謀事件で、北海道大の男子学生（２６）＝休学中＝が警視庁公安部の事情聴取に対して、戦闘員として組織に加わろうとした理由について「就職活動がうまくいかなかった」などと話していることが捜査関係者への取材で分かった。

特集「イスラム国」
　この学生は、複数の知人に自殺願望とともに「シリアで死ぬつもりだ」などと明かしていた。公安部は、学生が就職活動の失敗などから孤立感を深めていったことが事件の背景にあるとみている。

慰安婦像に関しては、その宣伝文句につき、米軍慰安婦を含めた性奴隷に関するものにすること、慰安婦問題については米軍慰安婦問題との共通の解決基準の枠組みを提案して、最終的な解決・解消を目指すべき。

さらに、韓国国旗は竹島侵略の象徴なので、今後、掲揚しないでほしい、と要求しても、いいのだが・・・それは民間人の仕事だろう。

Condemnation attributed to ‘utter nonsense’

The Asahi’s efforts almost derailed Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa’s impending visit to South Korea and quickly worsened Japan’s relations with Koreans. But the matter went far beyond that. First, it led to U.N. Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Radhika Coomaraswamy’s 1996 report on “military sexual slavery in wartime.”

Eleven years later, on July 30, 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution that condemned “the ‘comfort women’ system of forced military prostitution by the Government of Japan” as “one of the largest cases of human trafficking in the 20th century.”

Since then, statues to memorialize comfort women have been built in the United States.

In the 1980s, Japan’s “mass media started to talk about the nation’s crimes during World War II,” as Daekyun Chung, the Korean-Japanese scholar on national identity questions, points out in “The Myth of Koreans Forcibly Brought to Japan” (2004). If Yoshida didn’t miss the bandwagon, you might say the Asahi was one of the chief musicians on it.

Actually “comfort woman” (ianfu) is a case where a Japanese attempt for euphemism misfired ― spectacularly, many years later. A comparable English euphemism may be “daughter of joy.” A closer, more accurate term is likely to be “camp follower.” Faubion Bowers probably had this in mind in 1995 when he pooh-poohed the “comfort women” furor that was growing by the day by simply saying: “When Manila fell, in less than a day, 100 ‘comfort women’ showed up near my barracks.”

I had invited Bowers to my office to reminisce about his experience before, during and after the war to mark the 50th anniversary of Japan’s defeat. A Julliard graduate, he had taught in Japan before Japan’s Pearl Harbor attack, studied Japanese at the Military Intelligence Service Language School, and was a translator/interpreter during the war. The war over, he served Gen. Douglas MacArthur as an aide-de-camp.

The existence of “comfort women” in wartime Japan was so utterly taken for granted that it remained a “nonissue” for several decades after the war until some people decided to turn it into a controversy.

Was the Japanese government involved in “comfort women”? The answer will depend on how you define “involvement.”If the Army Ministry’s acceptance of the establishments of brothels for the military in war zones was “involvement,” the Japanese government must plead guilty.

Yoshiaki Yoshimi, historian at Chuo University, who insists on the government’s culpability, cites in his 1995 book “Military Comfort Women” the notification issued to the chiefs of staff of the North China Area Army and Central China Expeditionary Force as “one of the most important documents showing the involvement of the Army Ministry.” Dated March 4, 1938, it has, among those who gave stamps of approval, Hitoshi Imamura, one of the few admired generals to come out of World War II.

But the notification was a stern warning not to allow activities among recruiters or brokers that might “hurt the dignity of the military” and “create social problems.” It asked that the Kempeitai and the police authorities especially look out for anything “resembling kidnapping.”

Again, if you say the Army Ministry’s acceptance of procurers of prostitutes proved “involvement,” the government was responsible.

Were comfort women “sex slaves”? If you recognize that prostitution is largely a form of physical bondage, they were. But forcibly rounding up women for the work, as Yoshida said he did, would be a different matter.

A 1944 U.S. report based on interviews with Korean-Japanese POWs quoted them as saying that “direct conscription” of Korean women for prostitution would have caused riots in Korea. Japanese police officers stationed in Korea made similar statements. They had to be careful in governing Korea.

It's far from the first time Obama has made himself the man-child to Michelle's nag. Last year, he joked that he quit smoking "because I'm scared of my wife." In a 2013 interview with Vogue, Michelle Obama said her husband has taught her to relax more. He replied by saying, "And what Michelle has done is to remind me every day of the virtues of order. Being on time. Hanging up your clothes. Being intentional about planning time with your kids."



The idea of the man-child paired off with the mommy-wife has become quite a cultural phenomenon. A.O. Scott recently described the impact the image has had on comedy:

In Sandler’s early, funny movies, and in many others released under Apatow’s imprimatur, women are confined to narrowly archetypal roles. Nice mommies and patient wives are idealized; it’s a relief to get away from them and a comfort to know that they’ll take care of you when you return. Mean mommies and controlling wives are ridiculed and humiliated. Sexually assertive women are in need of being shamed and tamed. True contentment is only found with your friends, who are into porn and “Star Wars” and weed and video games and all the stuff that girls and parents just don’t understand.

Of course, men can play video games and be into "Star Wars" while also fulfilling adult responsibilities. Many do! But the more we "joke" that men are unable to practice basic hygiene without the firm guidance of a good woman, the less it seems necessary to change that "classic" dynamic. Obama may mean well, but even jokes like this one signal to girls that they have to lower their standards and sacrifice a big chunk of their own lives in order to "train" a man.

To be fair, genocide is rooted in the Bible.

The article in question, titled "Why I Am Absolutely Islamaphobic" [sic] and written by Gary Cass, begins with the premise that "every true follower of Mohammed" wants to "subjugate and murder" non-Muslims, and therefore it's impossible for Christians to live together peacefully with them.


Like many deluded, macho wannabe crusaders, he fantasizes about the collapse of society, urging his readers to buy guns and form militias:

First trust in God, then obtain a gun(s), learn to shoot, teach your kids the Christian doctrines of just war and self defense, create small cells of family and friends that you can rely on if some thing catastrophic happens and civil society suddenly melts down.

Finally, he closes with a bloodcurdling statement that can only reasonably be interpreted as a call for genocide against Muslims:

Now the only question is how many more dead bodies will have to pile up at home and abroad before we crush the vicious seed of Ishmael in Jesus' Name? ...May we be willing to take the lesser pains now so our children won't have to take greater pains later.

イスラム教徒は、イスラム教徒以外をぶっ殺そうとしているから、キリスト教徒は、銃をとって、国内外にいるイスラム教徒をぶっ殺してやらなくてはならない、という、右翼キリスト教徒がいる、と。

もっとも、若いイスラム教徒をみて、過激化しやすい、とみるのは危険で、女性や、イスラム教徒の背景のない白人も過激化する場合もあるのであって、安易な一般化は危険である、と。

男尊女卑にしても人種差別、ヘイトクライムにしても欧米はそれを罰する制度が整ってるというのが日本との違いであって、所詮人間だから差別するやつはいるし、クズだっていっぱいいる。要は向こうって日本に較べると強いリベラルが一定数いて、監視力が強いというかな。

たとえば、人種差別に関して、欧米人と議論すると、そのようなことをいって自慢する人がいるが、、しかし、欧米では、そうした、強いリベラル、あるいは、監視あるいは、法律があるにもかかわらず、マイノリティーに対して、殺害から暴行などすさまじい差別がいまだに現存するのは、制度やリベラルがいかに口先だけど何の役にも立っていないのか、と問い詰めると、いや、日本とは外国人移民の割合がちがうから、比べ物にならない、という。

比べ物にならないなら、最初から、比べなければいいのに、都合のいい結論だけ引き出そうするので困るのである。


制度や法律は、その社会の深刻な問題を反映しているのであって、反ー人種差別やヘイトクライム法が成立する前提には、深刻な人種差別や残虐な暴行が社会にある程度横行し、それが社会問題になっているからである。日本にも人種差別はあるが、外国人移民の割合が少ないせいか、まだ、それほど問題になっていない。

さらに、例えば、都議会の野次問題でも、あるいは、朝日バッシングでもそうだが、たしかに、馬鹿な親父や、メディアヒステリーはあるものの、それに対する反動はあるのであって、日本がまだ、健全さと保っている所以である。

　



　英国で、馬鹿な学生が男尊女卑的パンフを配布した　というは話しが　なぜか、欧米はすごい　と話に摩り替わるのは、あのメイロマとかいう類のひとたちの公式なのだろうか？
