But it is thought that doing drilling surveys by the central government in the stead of the private sector would make low the hurdle against the private firms' business entry. The ministry wants to start its drilling survey in the fiscal 2026 at the earliest. And it will include the policy of developing and enhancing the geothermal power generation and the central government's support system in the next generation energy plan, which is going to be revised within this fiscal year.
