According to sources concerned, Panasonic Corporation has a plan to produce solar batteries copnsistently from parts to finished products overseas for the first time. Specificcaly, it will build a plant in Malaysia in fiscal 2012 with as much as about 50 billion yen invested, enhancing its production capability to one and a half times the presen. It is aimed at strengthening the company's cost competitiveness and tackling the higher yen.
