Amagi-yoshino

2024-03-23 22:19:07 | 日記

Amagi Yoshino (Rosaceae) is a hybrid of Oshimazakura and Edohiganzakura, and blooms in March and April with large white single flowers 3-5cm in diameter.

It's the season when cherry blossoms become a hot topic.

We are reincarnated, descending from the source of life to earth to refine our souls, completing our respective missions, and returning to the source of life again.

As long as we live, we experience joy and sorrow, sorrow and joy...

願はくは花の下にて春死なむ その如月の望月のころ」(西行法師)

"I wish to die in spring beneath the flowers, around the full moon of the month of Kisaragi" (Saigyo Hoshi)

I hope to complete my mission and die among the flowers around the full moon of February.

I too have reached an age where I can understand the feelings of Saigyo, who wrote a poem about returning to the source of life around the full moon of February, feeling the beginning of spring after completing his mission. I am grateful for the workings of the system of life and its blessings.

Shijimi clam soup

I made clam soup for dinner.

Yesterday I made clam soup, but today's clam milk is amazing!

The essence is thoroughly extracted, filling the pot with milky white clam milk.

It's been a while since I've had such milky clam soup, it's no wonder it's from Lake Shinji!

i enjoy this dish, giving thanks for the blessings of nature and the hard work of people.

I am thankful for God's grace.

The quince tree on the south side veranda has buds again this year.

Even the camellia that I failed to prune produced about seven flowers.

In the western garden, the trees are sprouting leaves and beginning to bloom - azaleas, crape myrtles, oleanders, quince, holly, Murasaki Shikibu and magnolias.

Rain is forecast for the next three days. The rain that started falling before dawn and is promoting flowering is still falling.

The seasons definitely change.

My life's journey also moves with the changing of the seasons.

i give thanks for biodiversity.
