One Cricket

I found something black yesterday morning while watering the plants. It was a cricket.

This is the first time this year that it's been that big.

It has an ovipositor, so it must be a female. It reminded me of a small grasshopper I saw in the grass on the west side a long time ago.

This year, I returned some of the insects that had dried up and died during the scorching heat wave back to the soil.

As i sprinkled water on the ground, i called out to her, "Good luck!"

Red Morning Glory

Cool breezes are starting to blow in the mornings and evenings.

The weather forecaster says that the lingering heat is still severe, but I can feel that autumn is approaching.

I feel like I've somehow managed to get through this year's extreme heat, which has been getting worse every year.

Thank you, my body. I'm grateful.

At 4:54, Orion was already moving southeast.

Looking at the constellation numbers, the bright star shining in the northeast is Sirius in Canis Major and Procyon in Canis Minor, which form a triangle when connected with Vedelgeuse in Orion.

There were also many stars in the northwestern sky, but although there were many clouds making it difficult to see clearly, I was able to spot a star that looked like Deneb using my quick finder.

The cool morning breeze signals the approach of autumn.

The Moon Ages 27.3 Dawn

2025/8/21 4:43 Eastern Sky, I woke up before 4:00 to prepare for the fourth grass cutting this year.

The camera is quite shaky, but Orion rose over the pale moon in the space of 40 minutes, two days before the beginning of the end of summer on August 23rd.

Once my eyesight returns, the sky will be so bright that I'll be able to see as far as the Pleiades star cluster above.

Autumn is approaching.

The western sun in summer is hotter than the sun in autumn.

When it comes into view, the perceived temperature rises.

The thoughts don't deepen.
